Terrible reception staff not helpful

Was family trip with several generations - 3 bedroom apartment. `Everybody had enough room to do their own thing and enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk to beaches and local eating places. Shops convenient as well for self catering.

Great location, clean room with all the necessary items to make your stay comfortable. The room we had was a little dated but still didn't spoil our stay, plus try moving or put the vaccum under the sofa. There were empty wrappers and bits around the edge of ours.

Great location and nice apartment, was expensive because we went close to school holidays. Was comfortable but a lot of the apartment was dusty, had to clean the outside table before we could use it.

You certainly shouldn’t have needed to clean the outdoor table yourself, and the dust throughout the apartment is something I’ll follow up with our housekeeping team. The location of Mantra Coolangatta is stunning, and the apartment itself was nice and well laid out. However, we were very disappointed with the room allocation compared with the photos shown when we booked. The room listing showed magnificent ocean views from the room, which was the main reason we deliberately chose this hotel. Unfortunately, we were placed in a corner apartment where the only ocean views were from the balcony. From inside the apartment, the outlook was mostly other apartments, the courtyard, and neighbouring properties. This was especially disappointing as we had a family member visiting from the US, and we had hoped for her to experience the beauty of Australia from the room. Had we known the views would be so limited, we may have chosen another hotel that better matched what was advertised. The apartment was comfortable, but the view was the deciding factor in our booking, and sadly it did not meet expectations.

As an apartment-style property, the position, layout and outlook can vary between individual apartments within the same room category, and the images displayed are representative of the room type rather than a guarantee of a particular apartment or exact view from every room. Our Ocean View apartments do provide ocean views, although the aspect and where those views are enjoyed from can differ depending on the apartment allocated. We certainly appreciate your feedback, Daniel, and understand how important expectations around views can be when choosing a beachfront stay. We had such a great stay here. We had booked a 2 bedroom ocean view and requested one of the higher floors. It honestly exceeded our expectations being upgraded to a two bedroom two bathroom room on the 15 th floor with the most incredible ocean views looking straight out and towards Greenmount. The pool was heated and plenty of deck chairs surrounding. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely be back to stay again :)

I had booked a 3 bedroom unit to get ready for my wedding, the unit living space was very small. I was offered a 2 bedroom unit but they couldn’t refund the difference which I had to take because it was slightly bigger so I could fit my wedding party in it. I had friends staying in multiple 2 bedroom units and 1 bedroom units and all of them were way more spacious than our original 3 bedroom unit and the 2 bedroom unit we moved to. Not very happy as I spent $700 more for a 3 bedroom unit thinking it was going to be bigger and in fact the 2 bedroom units are more spacious. I was not offered a refund for the difference.

Our three-bedroom apartments provide the additional bedroom and bedding capacity, however this doesn’t necessarily mean the living area itself is larger than our two-bedroom apartments. As the apartments are individually configured, there can also be noticeable differences in layout and perceived space between apartments. Our team offered the two-bedroom apartment as an alternative as its particular layout provided a larger living area for your wedding party. As the original three-bedroom apartment you booked was available and the move to the two-bedroom was made to better accommodate your preference for additional living space, we weren’t able to refund the difference between the room categories. We do appreciate your feedback, Stephanie, and understand why the layout was important given the purpose of your stay.
