This is our 3rd visit in two years. We normally book around 10 rooms and the hotel is always a easy and comfortable booking. The staff are helpful and courteous. This is the only hotel we stay at in Newport.

Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, although it was a bit small. The staff were very friendly and eager to help us when there was an issue with our reservation. They even gave us some bandages when we needed them and everything else was closed outside. The breakfast felt a bit basic but it had everything you would expect (cereals, toast, croissants, spreads and English breakfast items).

From the moment I arrived the service was excellent - far outstripped the 'official' rating of the hotel. Rooms and communal areas absolutely immaculate. Help from reception and service during evening meal and breakfast could not have been improved. Evening meal was not 'amazing' but filled a hole, which is the only reason I didn't give it 10/10.
