Convenient location and good staff.

This hotel is conveniently located for trains into Cambridge and it has disabled parking spaces just outside so it is my preferred hotel when visiting Cambridge by car. The reception and restaurant staff are very pleasant. The rooms have a massive TV screen which was good for sporting events on terrestrial channels. Our room temperature was okay and the room was clean. However, the shower is not powerful and the towels are worn out. In the wellness area, the changing rooms need maintenance; some lockers were not fit for purpose. Here again, the showers are weak and you also need one hand to keep a button pressed.

It's a good hotel, very modern and stylish, but there's not much around it. Short of the Cambridge North railway station and a co-op opposite, there are no other choices to eat out unless you go out exploring or head into Cambridge. The rooms are well furnished with comfy beds, and decent bathrooms and the restaurant is not bad, but slow to serve your food in the evenings. I've stayed there several times and no matter what you order, it always seems to take 40 mins to arrive. When it's something simple like a burger or pizza I wouldn't expect to have to wait that long, but when it comes it's decent.
