I added a travel cot to my booking however on arrival the travel cot was not in the room. I reported this immediately but after 6 hours there was still no travel cot. I reported again and was told it was because I had to pay a €20 deposit - which nobody told me about until the evening when I was waiting on a cot to put my baby to bed. The travel cot was handed over to me at reception and I then had to carry it to the room and set it up, and take it back down at the end of my stay. When I asked if the hotel would do it they said no which isn’t ideal when you already have luggage and pram etc. Luckily it was the same one as we had at home so I knew how to do it. The quality of the cot was shocking, they provided no mattress and when I queried this they said it was for safety reasons, instead they provide a hard base cover which fits the bottom of the cot, except the one they provided us didn’t match the travel cot and was too big, meaning it had to be folded over and my baby would sleep on a slope. The travel cot itself wouldn’t fold up properly and if my baby stood they could topple it over. Whilst they won’t provide a baby mattress for safety reasons, the baby bedding they provided was full size bedding (a double sheet and a single quilt/duvet) which is a suffocation hazard for a young infant… the bedding itself it much bigger than the cot. In the end my baby slept between my husband and I for 4 nights as the travel cot and bedding was not fit for purpose. Do not stay here if you have a baby. As our trip was for Disneyland Paris, the hotel location was perfect, walking distance to Disneyland Paris and to the Val D’Europe mall with loads of choices for food and drinks. It also offers a free shuttle to Disneyland Paris which we used. The hotel could be doing with some upgrades, as some areas are a bit dated and the pool area is quite dirty due to a bad setup of the showers being a entrance to the pool meaning you need either step into/or jump over dirty water to enter the pool area even if you are not swimming. Reception staff not very friendly, whilst this is in a tourist location their English is poor and a lot of conversation is lost in translation. They don’t answer the phone either - I called from our room numerous times over our stay and there was no answer yet when I walked downstairs they were sitting with no guests. Often there were two staff on but only one of them was working with guests which led to lengthy queues at check in. The lifts are temperamental, the have a lower ground and upper ground floor option with the latter having 3 or 4 stairs. Given we had a pram we would always select the lower ground option but most days it opened at upper ground and we had to carry the pram down the stairs… this wasn’t ideal if you were on your own.
