I arrived not expecting much, given it was an Ibis budget. However, what I was met with managed to not even meet these expectations. As a silver member, I am a regular app user, which showed the room would be available to check in from 12.00. However, despite arriving at 1pm, I was told the room was not in fact ready and I would need to wait an additional hour until just after 2pm for my room. The reason given was that there was work being done, however the manager later then admitted are only 3 of the room type I had booked within the building. If this is the case, the promised check in time needs to be later so that customers are not left with 2 hours of nothing to do in Val D'Europe. We returned at 2, where the manager was now working the desk. Thankfully the room was ready, and credit where it is due she apologised for the wait with complimentary breakfast. We headed to our first floor room, which on first impressions was good for a budget hotel. It was clean, the bed comfortable and the TV worked, though I would like to have seen it on an arm so it can be angled to the bed for a more comfortable viewing experience. There was no hand towel, so we resorted to using our shower floor mat knowing neither of us was going to shower during our 1 night stay. Whether standard or an oversight, I do not know. The Air-Con unit made a odd noise, however we prefer to sleep with this off anyway so switched it off, which we believed to rectify the issue. This was not the case. When we returned at 21.30, a loud pipe like noise was present. Knowing there are no other like for like rooms, we sucked it up, hoping it would stop. It didn't. Not for the entire night. The rooms were marketed as soundproof, yet the only noise it would have kept out is a buzz of a bee. We could here every single noise external to our room within the hotel. Granted no noise from outside the hotel made it in. We woke up, very tired from our lack of sleep and headed for breakfast. If I had paid for this, I would also be complaining about this more, as it was very disappointing. Stale bread, lukewarm sausages and thats about it. Not a huge choice available, but again its a budget hotel. We checked out with the same woman who had originally met us when we attempted to check in the first time, who seemed to still not care, so I didn't bother raising the new issues and will contact my Voyageur premium line. All in all, avoid this hotel, as it's not even suitable as just a place to sleep, as we didn't even get that!

Hello good morning At first we are satisfied but this Monday we started to scratch on some part of our body me and my husband and it’s getting worse now. We have a lot of bed bugs bites on our body.. We stay val d'europe ibis budget room 212 16-18 January. We are suffering now. Extremely dissatisfied

Arrived late and the upper bed was dirty.. we were very tired and had to change rooms and we had a 6 year old child with us.. very inconvenient and upsetting for the the child and all of us

The room size was what I expected for the price, location and time of the year (xmas). Overall it was all clean, respected my preference of not cleaning my room. The breakfast was as I expected in terms of variety and quality (average, but good overall). My only complaint is that I reported the restroom light did not work and nobody came to fix or at least have a look.
