It was too hot in the room. The air conditioning did nothing at all. This was in April, it would be horrible in summer. With the window open it was bearable but I was woken by the refuse collection at some ungodly hour.

We stayed with two very young children and my elderly mother on our first trip to Paris, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. After a long day of travel, we asked reception for help finding nearby food for the kids and were told to “Google it,” which felt quite dismissive. The main issue was the room. The air conditioning controls did not work, and after calling reception we were told it is centrally controlled and would be turned on later. It was never turned on during our 3-night stay, leaving the room hot and humid the entire time, which made it very uncomfortable for our family. Combined with the very small room and a travel cot that didn’t properly fit, this made what should have been an exciting stay quite stressful and exhausting.

Perfect for a stopover after staying at Disneyland, the hotel is well-equipped and the fact that there is a small kids area is very useful.

Clean, but basic, good housekeeping each day for towels - but no bin in the room, no bottle opener, few hangers and limited size room. Location is ideal though, mere yards from the train station, 10min walk to the shopping centre, but again, no immediate convenience stores nearby. On 2 nights there were take away vans parked directly outside the hotel which were noisy and having the window open for fresh air exposed us to this noise.
