We stayed for one night with the family on the way back from the alps. The hotel was well located with easy free parking in front of the hotel and we enjoyed walking around the old city walls. Breakfast was good and the rooms were clean. The only problem was that the room was far too hot. The ventilation only had a heating option so we had to have the windows wide open all night. Our rooms looked out over the main square/town parking area so naturally this was quite noisy. A shame as otherwise a great hotel

When booking from the UK I selected the option to have paid off-street parking, rather than use the very big public car park on place Bel'air outside the hotel's front door. On arrival as wet sleet was falling during a mid-March weekday late afternoon, I found public parking quite easy in that square and the Reception was indeed less than 1 minute's walk (welcome, given the terrible weather). Check-in was reasonably quick, including receiving a printed invoice immediately; and it was interesting that this IBIS did not issue a magnetic door key card, but instead required you to key a pass code on the bedroom door (...and front if you stayed out late exploring town). I then had to take my car out of place Bel'air, left and left again to access the off-street under cover parking (up-and-over door actuated by a second pass code – all excellent security – and stairs and lift [elevator] from inside the off-street parking up to Reception and up +1 to the rooms floor). The room was quiet and quite modest, quite compact, definitely noticeable as a Budget not a Styles – but comfortable. I slept well. In the morning the TV worked well and I was able easily to find France TF1 and France 2 Télématin channels for breakfast-time news etc. The breakfast for which I paid extra was pleasant but nothing extra-special. I did have a slightly alarming issue when, after checking out, I wanted to leave the off-street under cover parking – my car's nose and lights did not trigger the up and over door to open automatically. I don't know whether there was a working button you were supposed to press to open it from inside... so, I let myself out of the ?fire exit door which as always in such stories sprang shut behind me and trusted that the pass code on the keypad would open the up and over door from outside. Bingo! I was able to get away. Phew!
