Bad stay and experience

Has a Platinum member, I had a very bad experience at the Hotel Mercure Vittel and was not treated accordingly my status. No upgrade despite the hotel was almost empty. No free water in the room No slippers in the bedroom The security at the hotel was anything but. You have to take the elevator on the ground floor and then go to the reception or rooms. From the elevator ANYONE can go directly to the floors of the bedrooms without disclosure / recognition via badge etc....

Dear, We are sorry to know that you had a bad experience during your stay. First of all, the hotel is not open to anyone. The hotel entrance as well as the parking lot are closed, and can only be opened with the room key or by calling the reception. Both these doors are also secured by video surveillance. You have not been offered an upgrade since there was no available Privilege Room at the date of your stay. The hotel was almost full, not empty as you have stated. We offer a suite upgrade to absolutly all our ALL Guests, as long as it is possible (as stated in the conditions that you accepted when you join the ALL Membership.) Sleepers are not included in the type of room you choose during your booking. Please, keep in mind that our staff had brought you sleepers for you and your wife as soon as you asked for it, as well as 2 other bottles of water, because you didn\'t search the mini bar. (there was already a bottle of water inside when you checked-in.) We are trained and always ready to please our guests. That\'s also why you left the hotel with a few presents offer by the staff. Clearly it wasn\'t enough and we would like to apologie for it. Please, don\'t hesitate to ask what you need during your stay. We can always try to fix the problem as long as your are still in the hotel.. Regards

The hotel appears outdated when compared to current Mercure standards. The price is high for the overall experience provided. There's a lack of electric vehicle charging stations. The dining area (cantine) is significantly undersized, with only six tables, resulting in long wait times (up to 30 minutes) for seating. The parking situation is inconvenient, as the parking lot is located behind the hotel without direct access, requiring a walk around the block.

Personel was very kind, room was very clean but there were a couple of issues: room temperature was too cold and my room was close to the A/C engines and the night there was some noise. Position is great
