We came to check in, booked 2 roroms only one was showing, the other not on the system so had to evidence my reserrvation. So they manually booked anotherr room for us, not logged orr shown on my ALL Accor rewards statement. Staff were professional, not warmr orr friendly which is a let down, I was the only guest at check in. I enquired about facilities and events as nothing was mentioned to me. On breakfast it was busy but we had a staff member constantly attending out table, it felt like harassment rather than us enjoying our meal. Prior to checkout i asked for late check out (agreed for 2pm). On the day of checkout i called for extension to 4pm which i was told i would receive a call back after speaking to a manager (4pm flight cancelled until 2.35am the next day!) I waited by 2pm, no reply. I then called back and was met with an apology and 4pm would be fine. Great i wish i was givne this news before so i could enjoy the facilities rather than waiting by the phone. at 3.30pm we called for assistance with our cases and bags. Again a waiting game, at 4.30pm someone called asking if i was ok and needed to extend my stay? How Ridiculous, a hotel like this has poor communication issues! I advised ive been waiting for luggage assistance and then someone came 10 mins later. What should be a nice relaxing stay turned into a hassle of uncertainty. Ive stayed in Sofitel Palm before, exceeded expectations however here, i would not rrecommend based on my experience at The Obelisk. Very disappointing and nothing special done for Eid either.

Very comfortable and peaceful stay, beautifully presented and delicious food. Unfortunately canapes in the club room were the same each night - it would have been good to have a bit more variety. Staff were very polite, friendly and efficient.
