My recent stay at Novotel Bur Dubai, as a loyal Platinum member was a profoundly disappointing experience, marked by a complete lack of care from staff and an alarming absence of management response, even when issues arose during my stay. My requests for a upgraded room were either ignored or handled with a "we can't be bothered" attitude. More concerning, however, was the complete failure of communication from management. I sent an email detailing these issues while still on-property, expecting at least an acknowledgment, but received nothing – no call, no email, not even a courtesy follow-up. It's clear that a valued member's concerns mean little here. I understand that my upgraded request is subject to availablity, but its not the request acceptance, its the no care attitude which is disappointing. More worrisome was reception staff with giving conflicting statements and trying to decieve. This level of service falls far below what's expected from a brand that claims to value loyalty. I've had great experiences elsewhere in this brand, but this hotel and management staff needs serious reevaluation of its guest service standards and management accountability. Everything/everybody were exceptionally perfect except keys need on daily basis activation, telephone calls unattended, short of staff & lobby security witn no english for communication. Location is outstanding. Neatness is of a high standard. Mr. Khaled was a big rescue for the reception although it's not his main responsibility.
