We came for my belated birthday stay and it was again as always a wonderful stay. We had club room access and we were really impressed with the drinks on offer and the lovely two course meal. I would say that it was a bit disappointing that the happy hour not available at the pool like it was previously so it would be good to see this brought back as it is so nice to have a few cocktails by the pool.

We have recently returned from a return visit to winter in Dubai, staying for the first time at Raffles Dubai vs our previous stay on the Palms. From the beginning the experience enjoyed at the hotel after our circa 18hour direct flight was seamless, the Landmark Suite was available upon our arrival pre 8.00a.m a blessing given that despite the time spent flying with lie flats, sleeping on an aircraft never ever is as good as sleeping in a good bed on terra firma. The suite came with a butler a service welcomed and useful but never ever in your face or intrusive as such can be on occasions. My biggest takeaway is for the professional and well trained staff we were privileged to meet and get to truly know, they becoming our family during our month long stay, nothing was arduous, ever undertaken without a smile, we enjoyed getting to know the staff personally and they ourselves.. the atmosphere that resulted was almost familial… Every staff member from those assigned to service the suite, to the pool staff, gym staff, spa, restaurants, bar, reception, management and especially the wonderful security staff made this stay most memorable, always greeted with a warm smile, a handshake it was the staff that made this break most memorable commensurate the excellent food, with service second to none.. I cannot speak more highly of Sales Director Tariq his assistant the affable Magdy, the erstwhile Woolsten and all of the other management we interacted with.. whilst the tireless Betty Club Hostess was a delight to get to know.. This team made such an expression that we have rebooked to return next winter I cannot recommend more highly this great Hotel, it talked its role in the raffles brand most seriously and is a genuine asset to the brand… better than consistent in terms of the expectations of a Raffles Hotel, the venerable Singapore Hotel our only other Raffles experience and raffles Dubai was as good if not in my humble opinion, better on so many metrics.. The guest amenities are first rate, an excellent and well equipped gym with fitted out with technogym gear, always clean and tidy, ditto the Spa with a wonderful professional team, whilst the pool was scintillating and where we spent a large part of every day in the 40+ heat… a dry heat made bearable by hard working pool staff who plied us constantly with super chilled water, ensuring we remained hydrated, always attendant, umbrellas raised like clockwork each day ensuring Sun exposure was not a risk… most appreciated in such hot weather. Dubai is a great destination July/August when wanting to escape the snow and ice from southern climes… something we will continue doing.. consequently I cannot recommend Raffles Dubai more highly and thoroughly recommend it to anyone wanting a quality, comfortable stay in a professionally managed, well run, exquisitely staffed establishment that will ensure the food offerings are absolutely first class… after all we all know and aware of the maxim, you get what you pay for, in the case of Raffles Dubai it is everything expected plus a whole lot more…
