It was a wonderful stay in terms of quality, ambiance, and most of all the genuine hospitality of Sofitel Obelisk team. This is the first hotel in Dubai so far that I noticed that didn't use plastic water bottles. Amazing that somehow, there is a hotel that exert effort in minimizing plastic waste. The location of their executive lounge is also great being in the highest floor and well-spaced for social distancing.

Great looking hotel with friendly, attentive staff. Great facilities especially the pool. Rooms very spacious and clean with stunning views of the Dubai skyline. Price was unbeatable and will definitely come back to stay soon. Breakfast was one of the best I've had during a hotel stay.

Short staycation with friends for a bday. While rooms are very nice and the hotel overall is great, what really makes it outstanding is the service and the waiters in the Brasserie. Both during dinner as well as during breakfast. Please please please keep this level of employees and don't let standards slip as usually happens here.... We will be back for sure

I had a perfect 2-week stay that exceeded my high expectations for the Sofitel brand. The room was very comfortable and luxurious with a nice view of downtown Dubai. It had great amenities and was well maintained. Housekeeping was flawless! The hotel common areas are amazing, starting with the impressive reception area. The pool, gym, sauna, jacuzzi and spa were excellent as well. Great location, being a fairly short drive to both downtown and the airport. It's also near a metro station (5-minute walk) and next to Wafi mall. Leaving the best for last, I especially enjoyed the hotel's Millesime Club! The staff is simply fantastic, they are very friendly and made me feel at home. The food and drinks were awesome, everything was delicious and very well presented. A huge thank you to all the Millesime Club staff. They made my stay at the hotel perfect and I look forward to return to this amazing hotel!

I was in in Dubai as a surgeon for a business medical trip. Everything started when i called the hotel to reserve a room. Mr Sabri who is in the reservation department reserve my room and made on the phone everything easy for me whit professionalism and kindness. My stay was excellent . It is a Wonderful hotel! Beautiful views on Dubai ( i was on the 27th floor) , excellent location if you are exploring Dubai for tourism or for business , nice rooms, very clean and the staff is extremely kind and professional . You will like every detail in this hotel starting from the lobby to the restaurants and the swimming pool. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely stay there again!

Perfect as you may expect from a Sofitel, from check-in to checkout. Extra large room, very comfortable bed, perfect hygiene and housekeeping. I didn't pay attention to the Indonesian girl's name in charge fir the room, but she gas been great. I must thank the whole staff of the Club Millésime, all very attentive, discreet and efficient. The guys have been great, unfortunately I didn't take their names, but you whom I'm talking about. Madonna and the other Filipino lady were outstanding. Huge and beautiful swimming pool. I wanted to have a massage, but had to cancel as I couldn't readjust my appointments. Rich breakfast, I'm sure I would be richer when we will ho back to self service. I was very happy with room service, the pool food, as well as the Bijou. I'd like to neutron lots of people, but I don't like to take notes when I'm talking to someone.. I would like to thank the guy who checked me and helped me in a embarrassing situation. Also Cherie from concierges. Last but not the least Chloe, who check me out in a very gracious way. The French flair is always there!

We had a wonderful stay at the Sofitel The Obelisk. We were in a Luxury Club Room on the 21st Floor with a stunning view of the Burj and Downtown. The room was immaculate and the staff throughout were incredibly welcoming, from reception to the team in the Brasserie. I would highly recommend the hotel!

Since my first stay in the sofitel obelisk i loved the hotel for its location and how comfortable it is .staff are so friendly and helpful.I was so frustrated in my last stay as i was given a smaller room than the one i expected and booked and it needed so much time to be changed to be bigger room .Other than that the hotel ambience and service is so wonderful.

I hope my experience was an isolated case of implicit bias

I stayed here because this was the nearest hotel to my wisdom tooth extraction clinic. First of all, I want to acknowledge the housekeeping team, the IRD team for my ice bucket and lemon slices (prevent my face from swelling), the Front Office team for being responsive, the service team was outstanding especially at Taiko restaurant. Shout out to Rubina and Marco, I will create another review directly to the Taiko page. During my last day, I had my breakfast at the club lounge. Thankfully, my wisdom tooth extraction was not that bad, with no stitches so I was able to eat my breakfast slowly. Then I saw a strand of something (I thought at first it was hair) that's why I called the female personnel in the lounge and asked what it was. It was quite funny coz she told me it is a mushroom. Anyway, she took the plate and told me she will ask/inform the chef then I left coz I want to rest in my room. A few hours later, a Filipino staff called me through the phone and started apologizing and he clearly said that it was not a hair so, end of the story. During my check out at the club lounge, Harish, (I’m bad with names) the supervisor did my check out. He asked me if I wanted to join the afternoon tea and I responded, “unfortunately no, I won’t be able to join, thank you.” Then I asked him, did your associate inform you about my breakfast? Harish responded yes, he did. For me, as a supervisor/manager, he should be the one who will settle any complaints from any guests within his outlet. I asked him why he wasn’t able to call me personally to clarify my concern. He responded, “I was cleaning/buzzing out a table that time, and he’s Filipino so you will have better communication”. I do understand that most cases of complaints were easier to settle when speaking with your same nationality/language however, he will not address my concern if I didn’t open it up during my check out. I felt maybe because I was the only Filipino guest there, I might be less important than the other guests. I believe, GSAs will make or break the whole guest experience of the guest and this time, Harish made me feel like I should be treated lesser than the other guests in that outlet. That this Filipino will not make any fuss about his experience because he just can't. Again, Kudos to all of your team members who made my stay wonderful. Let’s give everyone the Heartist experience we want our guest to experience upon stepping into your hotel.
