I had a very pleasant stay at Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk. The hotel is elegant, luxurious, and impressive in almost every aspect. One of the most distinctive features is the beautiful design inspired by ancient Egyptian civilization, which gives the entrance, lobby, and public areas a unique and memorable character. My Deluxe Room was spacious, comfortable, very clean, and well maintained. Even though it is the smallest room category in the hotel, it still felt generous in size and very comfortable. A very special thank you to Mohammed at reception. He was extremely helpful, professional, and welcoming throughout my stay. On the day of departure, he kindly extended my check-out until 1:00 PM, even though the hotel was fully booked. I really appreciated his flexibility and support. I would also like to thank Zeid at reception, as well as Puis from Uganda, who assisted with my luggage and was very kind, helpful, and cooperative. The swimming pool was one of the highlights of my stay and probably the best hotel pool I have used during my travels over the last two months. It is very large, approximately 45 meters long and around 20 meters wide, making it excellent for proper swimming as well as relaxing. The wellness facilities were also excellent, including the Jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. Breakfast was excellent overall and I would rate it around 9/10. The quality of the food was very high, fresh, and well prepared. I would only suggest adding a little more variety to make the selection even better. Overall, Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk is a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities, spacious and comfortable rooms, high standards of cleanliness, and very good service. I would definitely consider staying here again and highly recommend it, especially because of the professionalism and hospitality of staff members like Mohammed.

We arrived at the hotel shortly after 3:00 PM, which was the standard check-in time. However, we had to wait for more than two hours and were only given our rooms after 5:30 PM. After such a long and frustrating wait, we were shocked to find that our family had been assigned rooms on completely separate floors. My children were given a room on the 24th floor, while my room was on the 28th floor. For a family travelling together, especially with children, this was extremely inconvenient and concerning. When we finally received the rooms, they were not properly cleaned and several basic amenities were missing. What disappointed us even more was the response from room service when we requested a bar of soap. Instead of assisting us or politely explaining that it was unavailable, we were told to use the shower gel to wash our face. The way this was communicated felt dismissive and humiliating, and certainly not the level of hospitality we expected from a hotel.
