shiekhaa Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

Wonderful hotel. The location in the middle of Dubai and easy access & out from the hotel. Close to Wafi Mall. Rooms are very clean and have a good size full of technology. The workers in the hotel are extremely friendly, especially ( sayed the coffee man in reception + sabina + rajo in the breakfast section) I like the hotel and sure I will come again.

This is my fifth stay at Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk, the positive points are as follows: 1- Easy check-in / check-out 2- Reception staff were helpful and the lobby is well clean and organized. 3- The location, since Wafi Mall is near the hotel and has Carrefour and VOX cinema in it. 4- Comfortable bed, clean room and room size. 5- Breakfast buffet was excellent with many options to select. The only negative point is the following: 1- The refrigerator was not cooling well in Room 3522.

Great hotel but not worth considering the price you pay

Outstanding hotel with Egyptian theme in the area near Wafi Mall. Rooms are spacious with good quality furniture and lightning. The best highlight are the rooms with higher floors where the entire Dubai Creek can be viewed. Issues and concerns considering the price you pay: 1) No communication for room readiness and waiting in the lounge for an hour, even when the room was made ready. 2) Empty body wash and lotion containers. 3) Loose sockets, specially at the tea/coffee making area. 4) No invoice on email, when specifically requesting for the same. 5) Felt that reception staff quickly felt frustrated if you call more than twice for some specific request. 6) Poor selection and number of items in the breakfast.

I enjoyed my check in experience with Haania, who was pleasant, efficient and helpful. This was a working trip for me and I really appreciated the GYM! It was open 24 hrs and I could work out at 6 am and 11 pm and it was sensibly equipped. The breakfast hall (I only managed to eat once on 30 Nov) was beautiful and had a good spread of food. The service was good and the ladies greeting me at the entrance as well as the waitor who served my eggs and coffee made my day.
