Location: Very quick walk to both JR trains and subway lines. The grocery store in the same plaza was very helpful. And, restaurants in the plaza made for easy meals when tired after a day of walking. 3 brands of convenience stores too. The only negative is you need to travel to get everywhere since there was nothing on our itinerary in walking distance. Bedroom: Plenty of room. Chargers on both sides of the bed. Great lighting. Bathroom: Sink didn’t drain very well. Bathroom was a bit tight with the bathroom door doubling as the door to the bidet. Shower: No problems with leaking shower! Rain shower was useless due to low pressure. All it did was get water in your eyes. The regular shower head was sufficient. Pros: Convenient to transportation and grocery stores, restaurants, convenience stores in a business plaza. Cons: The room was dry despite humidifier, the toiletries were drying, the towels were starched and dehydrated the skin. Notice a theme? After nearly a week, it was pretty uncomfortable. Very minimal train and construction noise—but you could still hear it.

I am writing to formally complain about my recent stay at Pullman Tokyo Tamachi, which was a stark contrast to my previous positive experiences at your hotel. As a returning guest, I had high expectations based on my last two visits, during which I was assisted by foreign staff members. Despite their relatively short tenure in the hotel industry, they demonstrated exceptional professionalism and empathy, making my stays memorable and leading me to enthusiastically recommend your hotel to my friends. Unfortunately, my most recent visit turned into a complete nightmare due to the rude and impolite behavior of a Japanese staff member during check-in. I had made a reservation in advance and contacted the reservation team to inform them of my late arrival. I also requested an extra bed, as there would be three people staying in the room in total, and I was more than happy to pay any additional fees. To be clear, we are not squatters and were fully prepared to comply with all hotel policies. Upon arrival, my two companions and I were joined by two friends who were staying at different hotels but traveling with us. We simply planned to grab something to eat in the room together. However, the Japanese staff member—whom I believe was a supervisor or night manager—immediately refused our request, citing hotel policy. We offered to provide proof that our friends were legitimate guests elsewhere, such as sharing their hotel key cards, or even presenting passports for registration as visitors. Despite these reasonable suggestions, he adamantly said no. After a lengthy and unpleasant conversation, he inexplicably allowed us to proceed to the room without any registration for the visitors. This inconsistency left me deeply confused about his initial intentions. It felt as though we were being treated like animals in a zoo, or perhaps discriminated against based on our holding Hong Kong or Chinese passports due to some political bias. Adding to the unprofessionalism, the staff member remained seated in his chair throughout the interaction, which I found disrespectful. I urge you to review the CCTV footage from the check-in area to verify these events. This experience has not only tarnished my perception of your hotel but also made me question whether I can continue to recommend it to others. I expect a thorough investigation into this matter, including an assessment of the staff member's conduct and any potential discriminatory practices. I would appreciate a formal apology, details on steps taken to prevent such incidents in the future, and appropriate compensation for the distress caused during what should have been a pleasant stay.
