Eventhough location is not exactly at the center of Ginza, but Mercure Hibiya is located nearby many restaurants, bars and also Ginza Corridor. Bedroom is quite compact but still a good size for Japan standard. Overall, we had a very good stay.

I returned to Mercure Tokyo Hibiya primarily because of the wonderful memories from my previous stay, specifically for their exceptional French Toast. While the location remains incredibly convenient and the rooms are decent by Tokyo standards, I was saddened to find that the overall experience has notably declined compared to last year. There were several noticeable service cuts that affected the stay. Last year, the room featured a minibar with complimentary drinks that were refilled daily, but this amenity has been discontinued. Furthermore, the breakfast variety has plummeted. Previously, there were multiple main course choices; this time, the selection was reduced to just three styles of eggs (fried, scrambled, and boiled). For a returning guest, the contrast felt quite stark. The rooms near the tracks still experience some train noise, which might bother light sleepers. On a positive note, the other breakfast items were still of good quality, and the staff remains the hotel’s greatest asset—they are consistently warm, welcoming, and professional. However, given the price and the reduction in standards, I feel the value for money has unfortunately regressed.
