We liked the location very much . However we did think the decor was rather dark , the rooms quite small which really did not need a small round table to make the room even more of a “squeeze “

trendy and vibrant hotel within walking distance of Kyoto Station. Rooms are well appointed and the beds are comfortable. Service was great and the value overall was undeniable. Will be back.

The staff at this hotel is really great Always English speakers are available Helpful when I needed One downside is Too expensive! I would like to advise you to put up the name Mercure Tokyo in Japanese below English name because a. people can see from Shinkansen, b. None of taxi drivers know the hotel name (I took taxi more than 20 times). so i had to tell drivers to go to "Dai-ichi hotel" at shimbashi.
