It was my first time here and was a very pleasant stay! Service was good especially for check-in. Everything was very pleasant. Only thing was the only time I managed to go to the lounge was a few minutes before the evening food was closed, but everything was cleared out and no staff around. As such then I didn’t even have a drink and left.

Good location close to Shimbashi Station and the Ginza district, making it convenient for dining and shopping. However, we experienced a persistent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom throughout our stay. We reported the issue as soon as we entered the room, and although maintenance staff attended promptly, the problem didn’t noticeably improve. The odour seemed to come from the shower curtain and the drain next to the toilet, so we had to keep the bathroom door closed at all times. I would also appreciate if the hotel could consider increasing the complimentary water to four bottles per day, similar to other Accor properties we stayed at in Osaka and Seoul. We ended up purchasing extra water from convenience stores every day. Additionally, we requested firm pillows, but the ones provided were far from what would typically be considered firm. Overall, this is a good option if you want to stay within walking distance of the train station and Ginza without paying a premium price tag compared to other options located in the main Ginza areas, but there are couple of areas that could be significantly improved to enhance the guest experience. As a long time Accor customer, this is certainly well below the usual Accor hotels standards.

Although our maintenance team responded promptly, it is clear that the corrective action was insufficient and caused ongoing discomfort throughout your stay. This is unacceptable. We are currently conducting a more thorough review of our bathroom drainage systems, shower curtains, and ventilation processes to ensure such issues are properly resolved and do not recur. We also appreciate your candid feedback regarding complimentary bottled water. We understand the inconvenience of having to purchase additional water and are reviewing our current offering in comparison with other Accor properties in the region, including Osaka and Seoul, to better meet guest expectations. Regarding your request for firm pillows, I sincerely apologize that the pillows provided did not align with your preference. This highlights the need for clearer internal standards and communication, and we are reviewing both our pillow inventory and handling of special requests to improve this aspect of guest comfort. Furthermore, I regret that no alternative gesture was offered at check-in when an upgrade was unavailable, especially in light of your experience at another Accor property. Your feedback clearly illustrates how even a small, thoughtful gesture can leave a strong first impression. We are reinforcing our approach to guest recognition and empowerment of our front office team to provide appropriate alternatives when expectations cannot be met. Your comments regarding ALL member benefits, welcome amenities, and overall service level have been shared with our management and operational teams. I have been a long time Accor Platinum member. I chose to stay at Mercure Tokyo Hibiya because I loved my stay at the Mercure Osaka. Unfortunately, while the hotel, staff, and exec lounge services were great, the room itself was average at best. I was quite disappointed with my room. The rooms were very small, even in Japanese standards - I couldn't even lay down one medium size luggage, and there was no room to store my clothes. While it was clever to perch a sofa high up along the window, it was impossible to utilize it when there's no room to put the luggages, and you'd have to climb over the luggage to go on the bench. In addition, the mattresses were terrible. This is the 5th hotel we've stayed in Japan on this trip, and the worst mattress out of all the places we've stayed. There was a massive dent in my mattress, and I did not have a single good night's rest. My back and neck are still in pain from our stay. Lastly, the bathroom was tired: the edge of the sink was dirty, and the shower design is old and the water pressure for the shower was weak. I would have preferred a Japanese style washroom instead. My concerns are not the hotel staff's fault, but due to the room condition, unfortunately I am not sure I'd come back again. The hotel needs a renovation.
