Fairmont Tokyo 5 stars

The room view was amazing, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were all quite friendly. When we checked out, we also received a meaningful little souvenir, which we really appreciated. However, we did notice a few small issues: 1. Hotel access control: Although there were staff members welcoming guests at the hotel entrance, it seemed that if someone was familiar with the building, it would not be difficult for a non-guest to enter the lobby. For such a high-end hotel, this was a little surprising. 2. Mini fridge space: The refrigerator in the room was completely filled with paid items, leaving no space for guests to store their own things, which was a bit disappointing. 3. Bluetooth speaker: The Bluetooth speaker in the room did not work. We tried connecting it several times with different phones, but all attempts failed. We hope the hotel can improve these issues so that future guests can have an even better stay.

We had the most wonderful three-night stay at Fairmont Tokyo. As an Accor Platinum member, I used three Suite Night Upgrades (SNUs) to book a Fairmont Gold suite king. The suite was exceptionally spacious with a separate bedroom and living area and comfortably accommodated my family of four. The views from the room were breathtaking, overlooking Tokyo Bay, Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree. Access to the Gold Lounge was also included for the four of us, which significantly enhanced our stay. Some of the highlights included: • The hotel kindly held our luggage for three nights prior to our arrival. • The welcome gift was the best we have ever received. • Upon arrival, we were escorted to the Gold Lounge for check-in and offered drinks and afternoon tea straightaway. We were blown away by the service provided from Chem and the rest of the lounge team throughout our stay. We were genuinely made to feel like VIPs. Monina also personally greeted us on our final day in the lounge and went out of her way to ensure both our lounge experience and stay was comfortable. • Late checkout was granted until 2pm, with lounge access available until 4pm. This was incredibly appreciated and perfectly accommodated our late-night flight home. • The views from the level 42 lounge were spectacular. The food offerings were abundant and consistently of high quality. All foods were presented beautifully and it felt like we were always eating! Gold Lounge access is absolutely worthwhile. • The lounge staff were consistently warm, welcoming and engaging towards our children, which made our stay feel particularly family friendly. Our children also commented on how kind and friendly every member of the lounge was, which speaks volumes about the exceptional service and hospitality they provided. • A sofa bed was thoughtfully prepared for our children. This was a lovely surprise, as we had expected that all four of us would share the suite king bed. • We appreciated being able to choose a convenient time for turndown service. The two staff who prepared our room each evening did a fantastic job and were always friendly. • The suite included countless thoughtful amenities and personal touches, including the Dyson hair dryer and Airwrap. We were particularly impressed to find our phone charging cables neatly organised with Fairmont cable ties. Housekeeping maintained the room to an exceptional standard and it was always a pleasure returning to a spotless and beautifully presented room. • We loved that both the indoor and outdoor pools were heated. Even on cooler evenings, it was blissfully relaxing in the outdoor pool enjoying views of the illuminated Tokyo Tower. • We also thoroughly enjoyed the gym, which was equipped with modern high-quality equipment. The only minor areas for improvement, which did not significantly impact our enjoy of the stay, included: • The construction at the neighbouring building, which slightly obstructed the view and created occasional noise. • The heating in our suite room did not appear to operate as efficiently as intended and the room remained quite cool in the evenings despite increasing the temperature setting. Overall, this was the most luxurious hotel we have ever experienced. The service provided by the Gold Lounge team was truly first class and our stay exceeded expectations in every way. We are looking forward to staying at Fairmont Tokyo again on future trips to Tokyo.

We stayed here on the last night of our Japan holiday. Everything from the moment we entered the hotel was exceptional - the staff, the bar, the views from our room and the bar/restaurants. The location was a lot quieter than Shinjuku where we stayed when we first arrived in Japan. But that wasn't such a bad thing. We were looking for a quieter time by the time we got to the Fairmont. The only slight disappointment was not being allowed in the club lounge as an accor platinum member - gold only. But that was our only complaint.
