Great spot for an overnight stop

We picked out the Mercure Genas as an overnight stop on our way to the south of France. It was handily placed just off the motorway & although not a very prepossessing building the welcome was warm and our room was very comfortable. We ate in the hotel and enjoyed an excellent supper with great friendly service.

Very comfortable and well located

We arrived late at night after our plane was delayed and were warmly greeted at reception. There was a good selection of healthy meals in jars in the fridge which the staff member heated for us despite the late hour. Our rooms were very comfortable.

Fantastic front desk!

Chose this hotel as it is close to Lyon airport but would stay here even if I wasn't flying! The woman at the front desk was extremely helpful in getting our Netflix sorted out. Bringing ice and wine glasses and generally being very nice. The bed was comfortable, the room was enormous and the town looked quite pretty. The breakfast could have been a bit more straightforward - teabags instead of loose tea which was a bother to brew - but all in all a terrific experience.
