Second time I have stayed at the Mercure. Previously used the IBIS which is part of the same building. Worth the extra. Standard of service excellent throughout. Nearby amenities added up to a great stay. Recommended.

constanttraveller3 Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

The location of the hotel is great - a few minutes from the BTS station and across the street from the Emporium Shopping Mall. Rooms are comfortable. I would like firmer pillows but that’s a personal preference. There’s a mini-fridge, tea/coffee facilities and satellite TV with a few English language (news and movie) channels. Small things like a laundry bag, pen and notepad were missing. Not a big deal but I find them useful. Housekeeping is below average - room servicing should be more thorough. In general service in the hotel is perfunctory. I didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. Room service meals were not really to my taste. I didn’t like the penne bolognese at all (very strange taste) and the burger was just ok, but there’s a nice noodle soup with pork which - if delivered at the right temperature - is tasty and filling. Overall, the hotel was acceptable but there are better options in Bangkok at a similar price point.

Great spot, so easy to get around everywhere. Rooms are clean fairly spacious. The staff at this hotel is super friendly, next time I’m visiting Bangkok I would definitely stay here again.
