Hotel location is good, easy access to shopping and eateries and subway stations. Very congested area with heavy traffic though. If you need to travel to further distance via grab, you might need to book the grab 30 - 45min earlier since it will take the grab driver some time to reach you.

I have stayed in many Novotel hotels around the world, but this was by far the worst experience I have ever had with the brand. The main problem was the appalling air quality throughout the property (except, ironically, the lobby, which had perfect, fresh air conditioning). In the corridors and rooms, the air was stale and there was a strong, unpleasant carpet/mold-like odor that made breathing uncomfortable. The room AC units were old and ineffective; instead of cleaning the air, they simply blew the same bad smell from the corridors directly into the room. Windows could only be opened a few centimeters, and even then, the heavy pollution and street smells from outside made it impossible to get any fresh air. As a result, we spent the entire stay feeling stuffy and unwell. Breakfast was another disappointment. The hotel has two on-site restaurants for breakfast, but the air conditioning there was equally weak, and the strong smell of cooking (typical local food odors) circulated constantly, making it very unappetizing. The small open-air garden between the restaurants offered no relief because the entire surrounding area smells strongly of sewage and pollution. To make matters worse, right in front of the hotel entrance, our friends (we were traveling as two families) were almost pickpocketed by a couple. The hotel security guard witnessed the entire incident but did nothing to intervene or stop the thieves, who simply walked away. When we asked to see the CCTV footage, we were told there are no cameras covering the main entrance area – which feels unbelievable for a 4-star international chain hotel in central Bangkok. Overall, the combination of terrible air quality, poor maintenance, disappointing food offerings, and shocking lack of security made this stay unbearable.
