I stayed at The Retreat Palm Dubai MGallery by Sofitel from 1 March to 3 March with my family. The room upgrade was appreciated and the front desk staff were very helpful and professional. In particular, the front desk gentleman with spectacles whose name started with “T” was extremely courteous and supportive. He handled guests calmly and professionally, which made a positive difference to our stay. However, my experience was unfortunately affected by the behavior of a manager wearing a blue coat (name starting with “S”). While I was speaking with the front desk staff regarding the ongoing situation and whether the hotel had received any notification about extended stays for tourists, he aggressively interrupted and repeatedly asked, “Which government? Which government?” in a dismissive and confrontational tone. During uncertain travel situations, guests expect empathy and respectful communication from hotel management, which was clearly lacking in this interaction. Another concern was the buffet food under the half-board package. The vegetarian options were extremely limited, making it difficult for vegetarian guests to have a proper and satisfying meal. While the front desk team, especially Mr. T, was excellent, the behavior of this particular manager and the lack of vegetarian food options significantly impacted our overall experience. Because of this experience, I will not stay at this hotel again on my next visit to Dubai.

While I am grateful that certain aspects of your stay were enjoyable, I am genuinely sorry that these issues affected your overall experience. Everything was perfect. They treat you very well. Very clean and the food really good. Eustace from the kids pool made it so good for us as we spent a lot of time in the kids pool and he is friendly and very professional

It was such a great experience. We were celebrating our baby's first anniversary and when we mentioned that to the front desk they ensured we had balloons and a ted bear waiting for her in her room. It was such an wonderful details and it made our day. The hotel is amazing. The room was clean and comfortable, the swimming pool was warm, the amenities around the hotel were also impressive. The food was also great and all the staff incredibly kind. We will definitely return to spend more days there in the future.
