we had a very pleasant stay, great breakfast in room, amazing view from privilege rooms, everyone working in the hotel was very helpful, kind and doing their best to make our stay enjoyable. Many thanks to Florian who helped me re-book the rooms after I cancelled by mistake. Highly recommended!

I don’t like that none of the staff (except the maids) greet in passing. Cutlery and breakfast plates are not well washed. If you run your finger over the plate, it gets stuck, and there are prints on the cutlery (I took the photo). Too little fruit selection for breakfast. The Privilege Room is great and I had everything I needed. The room was well maintained - clean. Good hotel location. The special thing is that the guest can operate the air conditioner excellently and with quality! Definitely a hotel that I will always choose from now on in Paris.

Great location for walking, buses and metro - Stupid nonsense policy where I was asked to pay 6 Euro an hour to sit in a business area or work area or whatever it is they call it - I just went and sat in reception instead - But what an annoying stupid policy for paying guest to have to pay to sit in and use a quiet area to do some work.

I am second week in communication to obtain my i. which was refused to be provided at the moment. Now I have to beg to have it on time before the end of month for business travel consolidation. I wish somebody competent checked the payments provided from my credit card, see the list of guest and finally provide me with what was agreed. I cannot understand this behavior as our company has negotiated agreement with the hotel and is preferring it towards others. For now I can evaluate just like very unprofessional.

All good, but not gorgeous. Room service good, always clean. Room was a bit noisy, I could hear the street and the neighbours in next rooms. Breakfast could improve a bit. I'd wish for rye-bread, not mainly wheat and goat cheese (as I can not have wheat and cow cheese, I was left with pork only).

A great stay in a great neighbourhood

Being a stone's throw from a favourite dive bar of ours, we'd wanted to stay here for a while, and the opportunity arose at a decent price so we went for it. Having ALL Platinum status, our most basic of rooms was upgraded to a top floor view over Paris dominated by the Eiffel Tower - absolutely lovely. Room was recently renovated, spotlessly clean, decent size, and the upgrade included a Nespresso machine and a small free soft drinks minibar refilled daily. Checkin was a bit ropey - we were still made to wait for a room at 4pm, perhaps that's how we got the upgrade, which was worth it - and we got a free late checkout. Staff were all friendly, efficient and professional. Mercures can be a bit hit-and-miss, this one is a definite hit.

We where very satisfied with our stay. Got two rooms next to each other with a nice view over the Eiffel tower. Good breakfast buffet and close to the metro.

Staff at the reception had problems with preparing a correct invoice and was rather rude.

Generally ok, but room for improvement, especially when it comes to service

Generally, I like the location and the ambience, but when it comes to service it is always a downer. This time it was a real challenge. I always ask for a quiet room. But, this time I got a room with a connection door. The person next to me was coughing hard all night, so that I woke up every 30-60 minutes. In addition, every time I went to the reception there were discussions with guests ongoing, who were complaining. One wanted an invoice he did not get, the other one wanted to stay longer and was presented 'rules' or something- a real adventure like a telenovela. For me and my colleague, we asked several (!) times to get the address on the invoices changed. And both have the same discussions over and over. First, my colleague was told it is not possible (the last few times it was). The last time, the receptionist misspelled the address several times on the invoice although I had written it in capital letters on a piece of paper. We had to correct and print it 3 times. This time someone in the evening shift took my request and promised he will change the address and I noted all necessary information down. The next morning I arrive and nothing has been done. But he was quick to discuss personal topics with me and even mention 'we should have to take this conversation to outside' probably of his work environment(?) I simply left. Also, when we arrived, we were not greeted by one of the two people sitting there. One had her personal computer (Mac?) but was sitting at the front desk, giving advice to one customer. When she was available, did not even say Hi or 'my colleague will take care of you in a minute'. Simply ignored me, while her colleague was working several tasks at the same time. In summary, especially at the reception, I would appreciate a more professional behaviour from all that I have seen during the stay - for some there is more room for improvement, for some it is somewhat acceptable. But, all would be well advised with some training.

This was my first trip to France for 18 months and so I was a bit nervous. However, I felt reassured in the hotel which had some makeovers since my last visit. Check-in didn't go quite to plan and took a bit longer than it should have. The room was very clean and comfortable although i did notice that windows i had left open were closed during the daily clean. there was plenty of room in the restaurant for breakfast but a little surprised that bread knives and tongs for selecting items were in use - I was in Ireland two weeks ago and all items were prepackaged so there was no need to use any utensils. I was able to go to my favourite local restaurants all of which seemed much as before but with some social distancing.
