Overall, the hotel was quite nice, although very basic for the price. My only issue was with one member of the restaurant staff. I order a thai red curry and asked if I could have the curry with chicken (I eat Thai quite a lot, and usually a curry will have the option of being a vegetable, chicken, or prawn based curry). He said yes, this was fine and put the order through. I then went to pay and realised the amount being charged was a lot higher than in the menu. I checked the order and noticed he had ordered me a thai red curry, and a separate chicken curry. I highlighted this to him and said I only wanted the thai curry, but with chicken (which is quite normal in my experience). He got very rude at this point, saying "make up your mind, do you want a Thai curry or a chicken curry", I explained again that I would like the Thai red curry with chicken, to which he seemed to get even more annoyed. In the end, I just said fine, I will have a chicked curry (as I did not know understand how the Thai curry would be served - this was not explained in the menu). He threw his arms in the air, said something to one of the other staff and walked off. I then dealt with another member of the staff, who refunded the second curry I had been charged for and apologised for the confusion. I travel a lot with work and regularly stay and eat in hotels. Over 30+ years of doing this, I have never met a member of staff before who is as rude as this man was. Quite honestly, he should not be working in this type of role if he gets so angry, so quickly, about a simple misunderstanding. When I visit Geneva again, I will be looking for another hotel.
