We sincerely apologize for the unpleasant experience you and your wife encountered, particularly the interaction with our Housekeeping team regarding hand towels. The response you received was inappropriate and certainly not reflective of the warmth, respect and hospitality we expect from our team members. We stayed at Novotel Dona Sylvia Resort from 20–23 August 2026, a big friends & family group of 8 adults and 4 kids, and the entire team made it an absolutely memorable trip. A special thank you to Gita Naik, Guest Experience and Loyalty Manager, who went out of her way to arrange a room upgrade for us as an Accor Platinum member — the kind of thoughtful, personal touch that makes all the difference when travelling with family. Dennis Dcosta, the General Manager, ensured the whole property ran seamlessly and that we felt genuinely looked after throughout our stay. Ashish Verma from the F&B team took great care of us at every meal, always attentive and warm. And Jagdish, the bartender at Mama Mia, deserves a special mention — his drinks and his energy added so much to our evenings there. With a large group spanning three generations, we needed a resort that could keep everyone happy, and Novotel Dona Sylvia delivered on every front — the rooms, the food, the grounds, and above all, the people. Highly recommend this property for families and large groups alike. We'll be back!

Unfortunately, we faced several service issues during our stay that significantly affected our overall experience. At the time of check-in, the **complimentary beer coupons mentioned in our booking details were not provided**. In addition, the **complimentary chocolates and fruits** that were provided to other guests staying in regular rooms were also not provided to us. This was disappointing, particularly as these amenities appeared to be part of the standard check-in experience for other guests. There was also an issue with the room occupancy. By mistake, I booked the rooms for **6 people**, but the app did not provide any option to modify the booking. The app specifically instructed me to contact the hotel at the time of check-in for any changes. However, when I informed the hotel, I was told that **no changes could be made to the booking**. Given the instructions provided by the app, this was quite disappointing. As it was the **rainy season**, we checked the room for an umbrella but found none. When I approached the lobby and requested one, we had to wait for approximately **30 minutes to receive a single umbrella for a family of five**. This was particularly inconvenient considering the weather conditions. Another unpleasant experience occurred when I ordered food at the hotel. The food was delivered, but the staff did not provide a pen for the required signature. I had to use **one of my children's sketch pens** to sign. Later, at around **10:30 PM**, a staff member came back to the room with a pen and informed us that the sketch-pen signature would not be accepted. This late-night disturbance for something that could easily have been resolved the next morning was unnecessary and added further inconvenience. Taken together, these incidents were well below the level of service we expected from the hotel and from the **Accor brand**. I was actually considering taking an **Accor+ membership**, especially given the points I have accumulated. However, after experiencing similar issues at **two different Accor properties — one in Nepal and another in Goa —** I am now quite disappointed and hesitant about continuing with the membership. I hope you will review this experience seriously and take the necessary steps to address these concerns and improve the overall guest experience.

Regarding the property. Rooms seem to be less maintained. I am not satisfied with the service as well, like if we asked for water bottles that are taking half an hour to reach us and sometimes we have to call twice for it and this has not happened once, it happened many times during our stay. Food is also not upto the mark, options and quality of food in breakfast buffet is bad. The only good thing about the property is private beach access.

The staff upgraded us to Sea facing rooms. We had a memorable experience overall. The breakfast spread was amazing and the pool was the perfect place to unwind. I only wish it was open longer till about 8:30-9pm. It shut at sunset.

Dear Concerned Team, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and dissatisfaction with my experience at your hotel. I have stayed at hotels across the country and, quite honestly, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I checked in at around 10:30 PM, expecting a comfortable room after a long day. Instead, I was initially allotted a room that was damp, musty and had an extremely unpleasant smell. After waiting for approximately 15 minutes, I was shifted to a makeshift room, Room No. 64, which was hardly any better. The condition of the room was simply unacceptable, particularly for a hotel that holds itself out as providing professional hospitality services. The room had: A loose and completely worn-out spring mattress, making it extremely uncomfortable to sleep on; A torn bed cover; Torn and poor-quality towels; A broken cupboard; An unclean and poorly maintained room; and Overall, a condition that was completely inconsistent with even the most basic standards of hotel accommodation. What makes the situation even more disappointing is that all of this was being offered to a guest at around 11:00 PM, when, after travelling and checking in late, one reasonably expects the hotel to provide at least a clean, functional and comfortable room. Nevertheless, rather than escalating the matter further at that late hour, I chose to settle for whatever was provided, hoping that at least the basic standards of service would be maintained. Unfortunately, the experience only deteriorated further. When I subsequently ordered food through In-Room Dining, the response from the service staff was equally disappointing. My first choice was Butter Chicken with Laccha Paratha. I was told that the paratha could not be provided. I therefore asked the staff to suggest an alternative and selected something as basic as Khichdi. I was then informed that it would take approximately 40 minutes. I requested that the Khichdi be cancelled and instead asked for plain rice and dal—perhaps one of the simplest meals a hotel kitchen could reasonably be expected to serve. To my utter disbelief, I was told that even that would take approximately 30 minutes. At that point, the question is not merely about the food. It is about the complete absence of a basic hospitality mindset. A guest arriving late at night should not have to negotiate for basic food, wait indefinitely, or repeatedly alter his order simply because the hotel is unable or unwilling to provide it. This entire experience—from the poorly maintained and unhygienic room to the damaged linen and furniture, and finally the indifferent and reluctant service—has been deeply disappointing. I fail to understand how a hotel can consider such a room fit for occupation or such service acceptable for a paying guest. This is not a minor service lapse; it reflects a complete failure of basic hospitality standards. I would request the management to take this complaint seriously, investigate the condition of Room No. 64, review the conduct and efficiency of the In-Room Dining team, and explain how such a level of accommodation and service was considered acceptable. I would also expect an appropriate response from the management addressing these concerns rather than a routine or generic apology. The experience has seriously undermined my confidence in the hotel and has left me thoroughly disappointed. I hope the management will treat this as a matter requiring immediate attention and corrective action. Sushant K.

I am visiting novotel for the like 4th time. Property is crazily maintained as always. The staff is very good and helpfull. I just have one complain 7pm is too early for swimming pool to be closed i think the time should be the least 8 or 9pm that way it would be more fun to enjoy the property and have phone. Pool experience hits different in the night and the pool is lovely. I really hope you will think something about this
