This was our second stay at Devaaya Resort with my son and his wife. We booked and paid for 4 nights at the hotel last May and 2 months later we were told that for the last two days of our stay the hotel had been booked out for a wedding and we could no longer stay there.. We were offered a villa in the village which we reluctantly accepted and Avina promised us free beers and drinks during those two days as compensation. When we came to leave Avina tried to charge us for the drinks we had had and an argument ensued. Fortunately I had her agreement on my WhatsApp .All this made a poor ending to our holiday. . However, the hotel is lovely and the staff are friendly and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
