We had a very comfortable stay at Novotel Goa Shrem Hotel, Candolim. The staff was very co-operative and took utter care to make our stay a memorable one. Very nice food at the "The Square", the restaurant manager as well as the chef took care to meet the guests and take the reviews personally. The restaurant staff also, prepared the special dishes for the kids on request. The kids area and swimming pool were also very nice and clean. The house keeping and room service was also very good. The location of the hotel is Perfect being very near to Candolim beach (less crowded and relaxing beach) and also, near to the lively beaches of Baga and Calangute. Special Thanks to Ms. Taniska Chakrabarti at front office who was very polite and supportive and made sure that the guests are comfortable at their hotel. Best Hotel in North Goa!

Checking in was ardous and took more than an hour of waiting, checking in staff had no clue about the preferences that was sent well before on the prescribed sheet. I have never had such a bad experience with Novotel anywhere else. Goa Novotel was just not professional and doesn't know a thing about courtesy , not even water was offered while waiting to get our room. It was a completely forgettable experience.

When you pay for th hotel amenities should be free for kids like swimming tube and all .... Staff was very curtious which is the best part and buffet food waw ok as there is almost the same menu everyday ....at this price I would prefer different hotel next time ...

Stay at Novotel was really relaxing with their housekeeping team making it absolutely fantabulous. The complete staff is very chivalrous. However I recommend more accessibility to customer once the booking is done. Front desk staff needs to be more meticulous in this aspect. An inspection by the House keeping depart incharge before allotment of room to guests would help in a long way to give better services. Moreover menu for breakfast buffet can be made more interesting and buffet dinner can be more regular even on weekdays by giving attractive offers to the guests. Overall stay was awesome and I look forward to stay in Novotel candolim in my future visit to goa or their property at any other city. Thanks Team Novotel!!

Not even close to a 5-star experience (3-star hotel would have provided same experience) Pros: Good location, just near the beach. Hotel staff was friendly and intermittently asked about my stay (which was just fine - see below). Cons: 1. Not at all a 5-star experience. The corridor where my so called luxurious room was located was so stingy. 2. Though I booked a luxurious room, it was in no sense a luxurious one. The bottle warmer that I had requested was not working and I never received another one during my entire stay. 3. The hotel claimed to provide a nice balcony on their webiste, however, the view from this luxurious room is so bad that you can not even think of sitting in this small balcony. 4. The hair straighter that we received from the room service was working in the sense that it was getting warm but didn't wanted to straighten my wife's hair and despite of our request to get another one, this hair straighter was not replaced. 5. There was an electric kettle and that too in working condition but I never expected such a kettle in the luxurious room of a 5-star hotel. 6. Worst thing: The morning breakfast buffet expected from a 5-star hotel is a variety of dishes both Indian, Chinese, Continental, etc. but there was so limited number of options that I had to survive on bread jam, omelette, or dosa every day. There were few more options like idli, prantha, etc. but again not even close to 5-star hotel menu like Hyatt, Marriot, Radisson that are in the same or lesser price range. There were two or three options for fruits and salads. 7. Moreover, there were no buffet options for lunch and dinner (but yes, Alacarte was there with limited options). However, my preference is always a buffet considering I was staying there with my wife and two infants. 8. One one day, at the time of breakfast I requested for mashed papaya for my 7 month kid and I got it after 20 minutes. 9. This hotel experience was nowhere close to my earlier awesome and great experience at Radisson Blu resort and Hyatt in Goa. 10. After spending Rs. 50000 for 3 night stay, one expects a lot from a 5-star hotel however, I would have got same or better facilities at a 3-star hotel as well and would have definitely saved me 25k. 11. Speaking about the charges, I had informed the reception at the time of check-in that I would require the facility of late check-out i.e. by 5 pm since my return flight was at 11:15 pm. For this late check-out I was quoted a price of Rs. 3000 + taxes which I had confirmed at the time of hotel booking as well. However, prior to check-out I was quoted Rs. 5000 + taxes for this late check-out and after negotiation the price came down to Rs. 3500 + taxes. I WISH I WOULD HAVE STAYED AT MY HOME ITSELF AND WOULD HAVE SAVED MY PRECIOUS TIME AND MONEY.

I would especially like to mention one good gesture of house keeping staff named Sonu ...he truly showed a pure and innocent inner feelings by decorating my religious book and photo of goddess with flowers on his own ..which really touched me... One thing on negative side is delayed delivery.... Another I would like to suggest for more breakfast n lunch buffet options.

The hotel is closely located to Candolim beach. Very nice and spacious rooms (specially the spacious open air balcony with seating with the room). Staff is extremely courteous and helpful. The breakfast spread is very good (only the downside was that the hotel had large groups for all the days and the Square restaurant was extremely crowded at breakfast time. Room service is efficent.

The stay was good as usual. The staff is very friendly and courteous. A few slight problems I faced this time. This time I booked an elegance suite and to my surprise the linens were dirty at the time of my arrival. They had spots which were nasty. Though the houskeeeping changed them at no time. That was well appreciated. The next day, I found a big spider in the bathroom shower cubicle. That was very scary. We managed to get rid of it. Besides this, everything else was good enough. The staff is very helpful be it the front desk, the housekeeping, the valet everyone.
