The stay was really good, the amenities were of very good quality. The staff was really helpful and warm. The bar design and look of the interiors are very well maintained and feels really premium. The food is awesome specifically the breakfast spread.

It was a pleasant stay. I feel all the staff are very well trained and courteous. In the kitchen Chef Vishnu took the trouble and made special fish dishes for me which were really yummy.

The good stuff - Rooms as spic and span, housekeeping is quick in assisting. The lady who helped me settle the bill night before the checkout was an absolute gem, along with the one who manages the cafe/bar. Shocking set up - Light controls in the room - the bathroom lights are so bright that you wake up the person in the room even when it’s set in auto mode. And no door or panel to stop that light coming out. Ridiculous light controls too, there is no night light so it’s pitch dark when things are turned off. Never seen such a thing at any Novotel or Accor hotel. The bad staff - Started with the parking, the staff insists on the guests to hand over keys even though I had self parked the car. Valet parking is optional always and this insistence doesn’t bode well to start off any stay. The guy who checked us in had no expressions, no welcome to Novotel, no acknowledgement of ALL status! He also gave the wrong breakfast time! The restaurant- why do you keep fresh fruits hidden away in the refrigerator? If they are not for guests, then why are they kept there? The layout of the buffet is so spread out, you will miss out on stuff or need to ask the staff to find some of the things. Fruits as an example. Lastly the lady who handled breakfast in the morning of checkout - we asked for takeaway which is generally bakery items at all properties. However, even 3 or 4 star properties will provide takeaway for the amount of people staying in the room (2 in this case). But she point blank refused and said takeaway is only provided for 1 person. Seriously, do different rules apply for this property? The rating is only saved by the good people noted above as they were truly pleasant. Next time, this properly is definitely not in my stay list.

Lack of a decent sized rectangular (or oval) table was the biggest hinderance of the stay. The adjoining casino also meant that there was a constant flow of individuals, which provided for an uncalled busy atmosphere. The balcony is quite spacious but due to no cover or canopy as such, accumulates dust and debris that does not really encourage one to utilise it. Spa experience was not up to the mark and hopefullly will get better with time. Bath area is too small and wasn't cleaned properly for the next guest. Apart from this, the rooms are reasonably well designed with adequate ameneties. F&B is mostly commendable with a staff that is exemplerary and passionate about their jobs, which is a rarity in these times.

We had a warm welcome and we had requested for room upgrde as an gold member and explorer plus membership but rooms were not available for an upgrade.. also we requested for an extra bed because we had family of 4, but we did not received an extra bed also.. my both kids were bored because they had nothing to do during rain outside.. we needed a room with bathtub so, that my kids can enjoy or busy in bathtub.. this should be taking care by the frontdesk team always for the family guests with two small kids.. on third night the room were stinking so bad when I entered in the room, I call the housekeeping and asked for the room freshner.. that guy also noticed very bad smell in the room.. this is all what I faced during my stay.. we don't think that our stay was worth it this time..
