The hotel is at a very good location, in close proximity to Vagator, and Ozarn beaches. The stay was also quite comfortable, although it seemed to be a bit on the expensive side. The rooms can be a bit more spacious.

I recently stayed at ibis Styles Vagator in Goa for two nights, and the entire experience was a constant back-and-forth because the staff was simply not aware of the features, offers, and benefits of the Accor membership program. To set the context, I am an Accor Platinum member and also hold the Accor Plus Explorer membership, which comes with various hotel stay and dining vouchers. Throughout my stay, I had to repeatedly explain what these vouchers meant and how the basic benefits work. It started right when we arrived. Before reaching the property, I had called ahead to request an early check-in and asked when I should arrive. They told me to come at 1:00 PM—which isn't really an early check-in to begin with. Even then, when we reached at 1:30 PM, tired from the Goa weather, the room was still not ready. Left with no other option, we decided to wait and have our welcome drinks. Even the welcome drink became a point of confusion for the staff, as they weren't sure which drinks they could offer us. Later, when we dined in, the staff was unaware of the 30% dining discount, which led to another round of explanation. However, the biggest back-and-forth happened at night during dinner when we wanted to redeem our vouchers. The team had no idea how to process them, and even the senior staff was struggling to figure it out. On top of that, the menu they offered was quite bad with very limited options. Throughout the stay, I didn't see any additional effort from the staff to own or fix these issues. Finally, when we asked for a late check-out, it turned into a negotiation with the manager. Usually, Accor properties provide a late check-out until 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM for Platinum members. Here, the manager started haggling with me—offering 2:00 PM, and then 3:00 PM. I clearly told him that I understand late check-out is based on availability, and I had no problem if the rooms were occupied; I was just trying to understand how late they could accommodate us if the room was free. After a lot of unnecessary haggling, he finally agreed to 4:00 PM. Overall, this was a really bitter experience for me as a long-standing Platinum member. Usually, whenever I visit other Accor properties—even if it is an ibis—the service is really good and they respect the membership benefits without making the guest work for them. Unfortunately, that was not the case here at all.

Our stay was excellent! The property is very well-maintained, clean, and beautiful. The check-in process was exceptionally smooth and quick, making our arrival completely hassle-free.
