I chose Raffles again this year after a great stay last year, but this time the experience was disappointing overall. One issue that stood out was the response to my late check-out request. I fully understand it is subject to availability, but the communication felt abrupt and lacked any consideration or alternative options. Being asked for my preferred time and then simply told that 6PM would incur a 50% charge, without any suggestion of what might be possible instead, did not feel in line with the expected service level. There were still positives. The team showed genuine care when I had a minor accident at the pool, and some staff were warm and attentive. The room was spacious and comfortable. However, compared to last year, the overall service felt inconsistent, and the breakfast quality and variety were noticeably below expectations. The experience no longer feels like it offers the same value as before. I used to feel this hotel alone was worth the trip, but now I’m not sure I would return.

recently stayed at Raffles Jakarta again, and once more, the experience was absolutely world-class, boss. From the moment I checked in until I checked out, the entire staff was super friendly, professional, and incredibly accommodating. The butler service is truly elite and made my stay feel completely effortless, while the team at The Writers Bar was awesome—super nice people and a great vibe. This wasn't my first stay, and because the service is consistently so good, I shall definitely be back soon
