My mother and I enjoyed several memorable aspects of our stay, especially the beautiful suite and outstanding breakfast. However, some service inconsistencies and practical issues affected the overall experience. At check-in, we were told that our butler would proactively contact us via WhatsApp, but we still had not received a message after approximately 40–50 minutes. We did appreciate the two drinks later delivered to our room, which were a thoughtful touch. It would also be lovely to offer a welcome drink or refreshing hand towel while guests complete the check-in process. The elevators were a recurring frustration. We used them more than ten times during our stay, and none of the waits was under a minute. On one occasion, we waited over ten minutes and could only board the third elevator to arrive because the earlier ones were full. This was particularly inconvenient when travelling just one floor, such as from Level 2 to Level 1. We could not find an accessible staircase for guests to use. Clear guidance on any available stair access, or improvements to elevator management, would make a meaningful difference. We loved the suite’s design, interior décor, and very comfortable bed. However, the surrounding buildings felt extremely close to almost every window, leaving very little privacy. This may have been related to the suite’s lower-floor location, but it was disappointing given how much we otherwise enjoyed the room. Breakfast was truly exceptional—one of my favourite hotel breakfasts ever. The sashimi and à la carte dishes were highlights, and every dish we ordered was delicious. Although the selection was not the largest, the quality and care behind each item stood out. Service at breakfast was also highly efficient. This was the highlight of our stay and greatly elevated the overall experience. We were disappointed that we could not experience the Club, as we were informed it was closed. During the drinks service we experienced, the male server provided very good service, but the service from a female server was inconsistent: the wrong drink was brought on the first occasion, a red wine order was forgotten on the second, and a hot tea order was missed on the third. The venue was not particularly busy, yet we noticed staff chatting among themselves rather than checking on guests or clearing plates proactively. There is much to appreciate about this hotel, particularly the breakfast and suite comfort. More consistent follow-through and attentiveness, together with improvements to elevator access, would help the overall stay match those exceptional strengths. Finally, we would also like to commend the concierge team for their professionalism, efficiency, and warm service. Before we got into our taxi, they took the time to ask about our stay and quickly helped load all our luggage into the car. Their thoughtful assistance ended our visit on a very positive note and left us with a lovely final impression of the hotel.

Overall our stay was very enjoyable. The facilities are excellent and the service is amazing. The welcome team's gift was great to set the mood for the occasion. One thing that bothered us was that the bath and shower's water could not be set to cold (both valves produced hot water). Initially, the engineering team was dispatched to repair the issue in the afternoon. It was resolved, but in the evening the same issue happened again. Since we cannot control the temperature of the water, we ended up taking a bath in the bathtub after letting it cool for almost half an hour. We didnt want to call engineering again because we were not comfortable with having repairs done (the second time) during our stay. Issue persisted to the next day until the end of our stay.

Pros: Spacious room, nice swimming pool and garden area, helpful staff. Cons: Nonexistent butler service. The sudden change in the lounge policy restricting children completely ruined our stay.

Raffles Jakarta is undoubtedly one of the finest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. As soon as I entered my room, I was immediately impressed by its space. I’m incredibly grateful for the experience. Additionally, I enjoyed the outdoor space outside the gym, where I could run or walk while taking in the view of the city skyline and enjoying some fresh air. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at Raffles Jakarta, indeed.

The staff is helpful. The room is comfortable. Pool side sitting area is my favorite place in the hotel.

On this trip, I had early flight back home on Sat and needed to leave hotel as early as at 5am. Hence I asked the reception to process my check out on Friday instead to avoid any delay on Sat morning. The staff without any question, process my check out even though I was staying on friday night. I'm so grateful for their professionalism and efficiency.

From the birthday setup to the personal butler service, there were so many thoughtful touches to enjoy during my birthday stay at Raffles Jakarta with my two daughters. Head Butler Fachrul Reza personally looked after us throughout our stay, welcoming us at check-in at the Raffles Club, escorting us to our Artist Suite, and explaining each room and its features. He always greeted us warmly at breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails, and made every effort to accommodate our requests. We felt very well cared for. Breakfast offered an extensive selection, with dishes also available to order from the show kitchen. The steak and eggs were delicious, and there were plenty of desserts to choose from. Afternoon tea was equally enjoyable. I particularly loved the latte, and the selection of cakes served in a beautifully presented afternoon tea set made the experience feel extra special. During evening cocktails, I tried the Jakarta Sling and Singapore Sling, and the tenderloin steak was another delicious highlight. The lovely birthday setup made our arrival memorable. Special thanks to Butler Erica for the Stamford teddy bears—I had requested one and was delighted to receive two, one for each of my daughters! The turndown service included chamomile tea and cookies delivered to our room. The team also prepared a bubble bath and brought bath salts and Sensatia bath gel—a lovely way to unwind and enjoy the suite. Thank you to Fachrul Reza, Erica, and the team for making this such a relaxing and memorable birthday celebration.

I stayed in a Raffles Suites with a garden view room The 135 sqm room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and responsive. However, the TV and speakers in the living room wouldn't connect, so it took about 20 minutes to fix. The TV in the bedroom also wouldn't turn on, but I refused to have it repaired. Overall, I am still satisfied with the service at the Raffles Hotel.

What truly makes Raffles Jakarta special is the incredible people behind it. Throughout our extended stay, every member of the team made us feel genuinely welcomed, cared for, and at home. The warmth, kindness, and hospitality we experienced were exceptional, and nothing ever felt forced or simply part of a job. A special mention goes to the wonderful breakfast team, whom we had the pleasure of seeing every morning. Their friendly smiles, genuine warmth, and thoughtful service made breakfast something we looked forward to each day. It was these little daily interactions that made our stay feel so personal and memorable. The concierge team was equally fantastic, always approachable, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. Our butler also went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well looked after throughout our stay. What impressed us most was the consistency of the hospitality. Whether it was our first day or our last, we always felt the same genuine care and attention from everyone. Staying away from home for an extended period isn’t always easy, especially when travelling as a family, but the wonderful team at Raffles Jakarta made it feel effortless. To the entire Raffles team, thank you for making your hotel feel like our home away from home during our time in Jakarta. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a more wonderful group of people to look after us. 19/10/2026 One of My Best Hotel Experiences – Raffles Jakarta I was in Jakarta for a five-day business trip and had initially booked another well-known multinational hotel chain. On my brother’s recommendation, I decided to experience Raffles Jakarta, and it turned out to be one of my best hotel stays. What impressed me most was the genuine care and attention from the staff, especially during breakfast and while using the wellness facilities. The steam room, heated relaxation chairs for back relief, and particularly the unique Storm Room were highlights. The combination of refreshing mist, a powerful rain shower, storm-themed music, and a special fragrance created an incredibly refreshing and memorable experience. The staff made me feel genuinely cared for rather than simply served as part of their daily routine. The breakfast buffet was good, the café had a lovely atmosphere and great taste, and the room was modern, well-equipped, and comfortable. Raffles Jakarta has truly set a new standard for me. As a returning Raffles guest and Accor Platinum member, I come with high expectations. Raffles is built on legendary, deeply personal service, and much of this stay delivered that. Some of it did not. What went well: 1) Raffles Club check-in: A welcome gesture, which the accompanying staff member explained was in recognition of my Platinum status. 2) Outstanding service: The Raffles Club and Arts Cafe teams were top notch. They addressed me by name and prepared my food exactly as requested. This is the personal touch Raffles is known for, and it made my stay memorable. 3) The room: Clean and spacious. Where Raffles standard fell short: 1) No Platinum upgrade: An upgrade is a standard benefit for Platinum members, yet it was never offered or even mentioned. A full house due to the wedding does not excuse the silence. A returning guest deserves to be told. 2) Disappointing welcome: Three apples and no welcome letter is not the arrival one expects from Raffles. A handwritten note costs little and speaks volumes about whether a returning guest is remembered. 3) Missing butler communication: Unlike my previous stays, there was no WhatsApp message from the butler. I had to dig through my own chats to find the contact. Butler service should anticipate the guest and guest should not wait to be found. Overall: The staff embodied what Raffles stands for and they are why this stay was still enjoyable. But legendary hospitality means recognising a returning and loyal guest every time, not only when the hotel is quiet. I love this brand and want to keep returning and I hope Raffles Jakarta will take this feedback seriously.

The facilities, staff friendliness, and overall service were all excellent. I was particularly impressed by the exceptional hospitality that truly reflects the Raffles brand. However, I would like to raise a concern regarding the recent policy change restricting children under 12 from accessing the Raffles Club on weekends. I hope the hotel will reconsider this policy and allow children to access the lounge outside evening hours when alcoholic beverages are served. I was also disappointed that no apology was offered to hotel guests regarding the lobby access restrictions imposed on the evening of 11 October due to the visit of an Egyptian VIP delegation. Despite these concerns, I genuinely appreciated the high standard of hospitality and hope the hotel will consider these suggestions to further improve the guest experience.
