This time, the stay at the hotel can definitely not be described as comfortable. The first thing worth mentioning is that even though the reservation was “confirmed and paid,” the payment is actually made physically upon arrival at the hotel. Nowhere on the website is this information mentioned, and if you try to contact the hotel to clarify it, they won’t even bother replying to your email. The second issue concerns payments — if the reservation is “confirmed and paid,” how is it possible that upon arrival at reception, you are told a completely different amount that you must pay extra, without any prior notice? When I made the reservation, which was subsequently confirmed, the amount was “paid” — €856.25. However, according to the actual transaction on my card, it turned out to be €881.44 — a difference of €25.19. The only positive thing is that I managed to resolve this on Monday, 3 November, with a pleasant young lady at the reception, who, unlike her colleague, was more willing to deal with the issue. So I expect this amount to be refunded back to my card. The third issue — the same man who was at the reception over the weekend of 1–2 November. I honestly have no idea how this man even manages to use a computer or check reservations in the system. Instead of a standard double room, we were given a twin bed room on the 5th floor. On top of that, I was charged more than I should have been, which he also failed to verify. He was very reluctant to change our room and didn’t even bother to check whether we still had our belongings in the previous one. What seemed to interest him most was constantly offering us hammam and massage services — which was absolutely inappropriate and incomprehensible. The fourth issue — the room itself. I honestly don’t even know where to start. It was horrifying, to say the least. The walls were dirty, the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed at all, one mug was missing — we had to ask for it at the bar since nobody checks the rooms after guests leave. We constantly had to ask for a bath mat or a towel for the floor. Apparently, the language barrier was so strong that we received regular towels instead of the one we actually needed. The room was so dusty that I couldn’t stop sneezing, and as a result of the stay, I caught a cold. On top of that, there was no heating in the room, so after sunset it became quite cold. And to top it all off, the bathroom ventilation sucked in cigarette smoke from outside. The fifth issue — breakfast. The food itself was good, that’s one thing, but cleanliness is another story. Several times we witnessed the staff standing around chatting in groups instead of cleaning up. One day, we even had to sit at a completely uncleared table. Finally, I would like to mention that this was not our first stay at this hotel — we had already been here in May and stayed for a total of nine nights. Yes, the only real advantage of this hotel is definitely its location, nothing more. But even so, we had a much better experience last time. Honestly, I have no idea who gave this hotel four stars, because it absolutely does not deserve them. The maximum would be two stars. After such an experience, I would really like to get at least half of my money back — or even all of it — because to this day I truly don’t understand what I paid such a high price for.

A wonderful hotel in Şişli, Istanbul! The rooms are cozy and clean, and the location is very convenient. Special thanks to the manager Hatice 🌟 — she helped us with the booking and kindly arranged an early check-in, which we really appreciated. A very kind and attentive person, and a true professional! 🙌

I was not happy with the first room I was assigned (street noise), I asked for a change and one staff member made himself available to support also in transferring my things and came back with things I had forgotten. In addition I received immediate and high quality support in any request I have made. Congratulations on the quality of your staff!
