We were fortunate to be upgraded to a junior suite on our arrival and were able to have great views of the lake and enjoy a wine and food sitting out on the balcony. The room was large and luxurious, with the only complaint from my wife was the quality of the hair dryer. Breakfast service was quick and efficient although we did find the quality of some of the offerings way below the standard expected in such a hotel.

It was a beautiful hotel just like the Plaza and the one in San Francisco that we have stayed in and we found the staff very friendly but found the room decorated and the room cleaning service not that great. We had booked a Lakeview room and hoped for an upgrade but ended up without a balcony and a bed that was two singles that were pushed together that moved independently

Although it’s a bit old but the people at the reception and concierge and restaurants were friendly and helpful. Other services such as room service was good.

Beautiful location, Basic in every way.

The hotel is ok, just that. It’s a great location, it’s tired, it’s rigid and basic for the hotel class. The food is like McDonald’s with a high price tag. If you need to be in Montreux it may be the best, but lacks charm, elegance and sophistication.
