We booked our first night away from our 2 small kids in over 2 years. We were looking forward to a relaxing time. From the off, we were greeted fantastically well by front desk staff. When making the reservation we pointed out that it was our 5 year wedding anniversary (wedding at the Palace) so all the staff knew and made our stay extra special. The food at the restaurant was fabulous and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. We came back home relaxed and looking forward to our next stay at the Palace!

Overall good experience. But : 1) I do think your serving staff in restaurants should wear masks and 2) the breakfast should be a la carte and with no buffet. I have stayed at the Gstaad Palace and now at the Four Seasons in Lisbon. No one is serving an open buffet like you do. Both at the Alpina inGstaad and Four Seasons in Lisbon the serving staff wear masks.

Aged and rusty

The room had obvious signs of lack of maintenance: rusty marks in the balcony and the balcony furniture, broken tiles in the shower, unmaintained spa areas and in general, an aura of a grand hotel that desperately needs more attention and love from its owners.

We have been very well welcomed, this was an exceptional stay. Only one thing annoyed us, this is that we didn't perceive that the Covid rules defined by OFSP were followed.
