Great hotel but when quiet room requested best not to allocate one over function room

We have stayed many times and love the hotel, its location and the staff but on our latest stay were allocated a room above the function rooms, despite specifically requesting a quiet room, where a christmas function was happening. We were initially told the music would be turned down at 12 and off by 1 but it was 2am before the music went off and we could finally sleep

Very enjoyable stay. Amazing breakfast selection with beautiful view over the Med. All staff very attentive throughout the hotel . Extremely comfortable bed and amenities in the room. Only two gripes. My carpet was quite badly stained in more than one place and found the hairdryer in the bathroom rather difficult to use as the cable wasn’t very flexible and the dryer was very heavy . Other than those two gripes a perfect stay.

The location is great, but the rooms need to be renewed and also to provide a better service, as the staff does not put coffee and tea daily and also to remove the minibar it requires paying an additional amount of 25 euros, as I remember, and this is the only hotel that I lived in that does not put free water

we stayed only one night, decided late at night, booked online, receptionist extremely friendly and helpful, upgraded us to suite, room was impeccably clean, bed was luxurious, best bed i slept in in a loooong time. breakfast was great buffet, but i noticed at checkout, a bit unexpectedly steep-priced.

Front desk agents, concierge, bellman, and housekeeping staff gave amazing service! My husband and I were very appreciative! I was disappointed how outdated the room appeared and wall paper was falling off the wall in certain areas, multiple carpet stains, and the sink stopper did not work. I stopped by NOBU bar area and just wanted a quick non- alcohol beverage and was told I had to order through room service. I was a little bumped but ended up sightseeing instead and found a new dining spot! My husband and I have been traveling to Monte Carlo every year since 2017 and this was our 1st time staying at the Fairmont. We will definitely stay again, we absolutely love Monaco and the hotel location was perfect. I do have to admit I was disappointed because I was so excited to finally use my points to redeem for 2 nights and the room I received was nice but definitely needed improvement.

We like our stay at your premises, just there were a little inconvenient. One night we were coming from dinner and my partner felt from the main entrance stairs and “no body” approach to us to see if he was ok, or he needed any assistance. I think you need to improve that.

Great location & service but food a little pricey

Check-in and out was smooth and simple. The room was clean and comfortable, and the sea-view lovely. The drinks in the bar were tasty but they and the food in the restaurant were over-priced in my opinion, even by Monaco standards. Dinner in the casino cost less than the hotel as an example.

Overall the hotel meets expectations, however it does feel like it needs a solid upgrade. The staff is friendly, but rooms and conference facilities are really dated. The food is ok, but nothing special. Not sure if it lives up to the Fairmont brand.

For your kind information, since its opening in 1975, the hotel went through several refurbishments through the years. We still continue different renovations including the new Junior Garden View Suites which are already available. Furthermore, a renovation project will start in 2020. A very cosy and relaxing room to stay in whilst working away.

The staff were extremely helpful with our requirements. My team and I were working on the Monte Carlo Showdown in the casino so we had a lot of kit and bags which the staff dealt with effortlessly. The breakfast was one of the best that I've had from an open buffet and the doughnut stand made a great addition with the morning coffee. The rooms had fantastic beds that helped me get a great night sleep for work and for the drive back to the UK. The rooms were very cosy, however, I feel like they were getting rather dated and could be modernised. But that didn't deter from an extremely pleasant stay.
