Had a great stay with only one minor issue

Great hotel, had a good stay. All the amenities you'd expect from a hotel of this price. 24/7 reception, valet parking, great roomservice, good rooms etc. I particular enjoyed the spacious bathroom, the rooftop pool, the location and the balcony over the sea. We called and requested a third duvet (there were only 2 when we arrived despite being 3 people) and they immediately came up with a third fresh one without no issues. Great service. Unfortunately the room had a bit of a weird musky smell, so retracting one star from that. During our stay, the next-door room had a loud party/social gathering and we called the reception at midnight to ask for assistance in asking them to turn down their music, and they were very helpful and offered us a new room as compensation. Luckily the party died down around the same time and we could sleep again in our own room, but great service offering a new room with no hesitation. As the party was not the hotels fault and they offered a prompt solution I am left positive of how they handled it. 4/5, would go again, would have been 5 if the smell was fresher/cleaner (probably the carpets?).

Barely deserves 2 stars

This hotel is not even a 3 star hotel, much less 4. I will not waste an hour describing all the bad things. If you read my other hotel reviews, you will see the standards I look for and Fairmont Monaco doesn't have one of them. The only positives in the hotel are NOBU and Nikki Beach. And you do not need to stay at the hotel to visit either. Avoid this Fairmont location at all costs.

Amazing weekend

Just returned home from a magical weekend in Monaco. The Fairmont Hotel has to be one of the best located hotels. We had a hairpin room and it did not disappoint, the view was spectacular. The room was clean and tidy and the bathroom was large and again very clean. We had 2 double beds, a table and 2 chairs along with a suitcase table, a TV and a coffee machine and a kettle. The room was very spacious. We also had a balcony, but with it being December we only stood on it to admire the views. We had breakfast in the hotel on both mornings which was delicious, we had a seat by the window and the view onto the sea was amazing. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were eager to help and provide us with tea and coffee. I would definitely return to this hotel and for the car enthusiast the hairpin room is a must…..I’ve never ever seen so many supercars on one road. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk to Casino Square so is very well placed.
