This place was a bad experience from the moment we arrived.We were unable to checkinto the automated check in and there was no one answering their phones. We were told 3 different check in times. We left for lunch. While waiting we were sent a message that our room had been cancelled. We waited 2 hours for someone to show up and we had to rebook. The guy at the counter was curt, rude and uncooperative. He sneered at us when we asked about parking. There was no parking. My friend was ill and we asked for one extra pillow. He stared at us for a moment and said NO. Nothing else , just no. I explained my friend was ill, we were willing to pay for an extra pillow. Again his reply was an angry NO. This human at the front desk is giving this establishment a bad reputation. They have lost me as a frequent customer.

The perfect location and an Ibis which is more than an Ibis. Friendly staff advising how to deal with the street parking Note: at night, there are some free parking spot just in front of the train station, and in Menton these spots are free for 24 hours. Pay the small difference to have a room with a balcony straight over the marina with a magnificent view over Menton seaside village Breakfast is great too.

Excellent stay at ibis budget ! 2 great nights sleep & the continental breakfast was pretty good lots of choice ! Self check in which was very easy ! Rooms basic but very clean ! Definitely would stay here again I recommend this no frills hotel !

The receptionist was kinda bad because he wasn’t so enthusiastic about his guests wishes and fined for each hotel nights instead of the whole period visit that was originally in the contract in the booking process in Accors website. This made it much more expensive and we the guests got more confused by this (a miscommunication between the hotel itself and Accors organization?) . When we checked out earlier than our stay period, he and the cleaners were accusing us for checking out too late, but that wasn’t even the case because he was mistaken by our choice. Also the cleaners ignored tidying and fixing the third upper bed in the room when we wanted our room clean. The breakfast was too sweet and much less options than other Ibis budget hotels. So nah, bad system, bad communication, but good location.
