The location was truly good but there were couple of problems. First the air conditioning in the room was not working and we could not open the window so we felt suffocating. The bed was uncomfortable and surprisingly small even though the room was big enough. Some of the receptionists were not friendly

From the first moment I got in touch by mail to the moment we left the hotel after our stay staff was most friendly and oncoming. We really appreciated our room, spacious, with balcony....breakfast was awesome too. We also had dinner by rooms service: both dishes were really yummy and service was fast. Nothing to complain about and definitely a hotel to recommend. I nearly forgot to mention the coffee both in front of the hotel: definitely the best espresso, cappuccino and hot chocolate in town! We loved it!

I stay in the Monaco Novotel hotel on a regular basis when travelling on business. This visit was my first stay in one of the newly refurbished rooms. I liked the new bathroom, large TV and wooden flooring. The hair dryer (compared to lots of other hotel hair dryers which are very poor) was relatively good and powerful enough to try my hair. Some suggestions for improvements: - my bathroom had quite a few long black hairs on the floor, I suspect possibly from the cleaner? These were not very pleasant and I had to pick them up with tissue paper. perhaps a little more care needed with cleaning? - when I first got into my bed (and I am not a big person!) it made a strange clunking noise a bit like a camp bed that hadn't quite clipped into place... the bed didn't feel very solid! - I know that you do slippers in the executive rooms upwards but now the new 'standard' rooms are wood floors it might be nice to put slippers in all rooms so they don't need to walk on cold flooring.

We are Accord members and stay regularly at the Novotel, particularly in Monaco. We find the hotel to be in an excellent location. We prefer a garden view room and these are well-equipped, clean and comfortable. In addition, they are very quiet.

Booked through Hotels.com as slightly cheaper than booking direct. We stayed here last year and there were renovations taking place, so we were a bit surprised to receive a notification, a few days before our stay, that renovations were still going on. Our room had been renovated but we were disappointed to see that there were still no opening windows, so no fresh air in the room. The self service breakfast was fine, but the cooked selection could have done with a greater choice. For example, grilled tomatoes and baked beans.

I was really pleasantly surprised by the standard of the common areas and the rooms. The accommodation was much better than I would have expected for a 3-star hotel. The staff were helpful and courteous and the location is great, close to the station, town centre and shops. My one disappointment was that the swimming pool and outside areas were closed during my stay. I was aware of the redevelopments from when I made my booking but the email I received clearly stated that all services would be unaffected. This was unfortunately not the case which was a shame as the pool had been the deciding factor for me in selecting this particular hotel.

Twice the reception desk didn't trust what I said: first that I booked only for two nights (and not three) then that I didn't have to pay for the parking. Twice I was right ... The place is otherwise fine, yet missing free access to a computer with Internet and missing WiFi coverage in the gym.

I discussed my issues with the staff they were disconnected. My room did not have air conditioning. I could not open the window. There was no ventilation. I was offered a fan. The room is set to 21 . I had to keep the bedroom door open it was suffocating. I booked this room through SNAPTRAVEL your staff were not aware of this company. It turned out to be a bad idea booking with them as I had paid them a fee for an upgrade. I discussed this with the staff member but this was irrelevant to them. Novotel is often renovating and not informing the clients upon booking. I would return because of the location, a better room. I would like to see the manager of the hotel from time to time in the hotel. My daughter schools in Monaco I visit 4-6 times a year so my visit is to see her. Hopefully you change the air conditioning situation and perhaps don't allow rooms to be rented out that do not have air. This is below any hotel standard I have experienced.

Hotel is very clean and functional. Friendly staff. I experienced a lot of road noise from 5am. No coffee machine. Awful pillows!!

The staff were friendly but they gave me wrong information about the accessibilty of the gym for both nights of my stay. I therefore did not work out while in fact it was open both days. The fruits in the breakfast buffet the second day were not too great, but otherwise all was well.
