Overall, I think my family and I had a comfortable stay at Avista Hideaway Patong. We booked two separate rooms for the six of us. The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable to sleep on and the bathroom and amenities provided were satisfactory. One complaint would be the damp flooring; we felt that the floors in our rooms were mostly always damp and moist, but we weren't sure what it was due to. Thankfully, hotel slippers were provided. The cleanliness of the rooms were also well-maintained and the housekeeping services were satisfactory. We liked that the room was clean and ready by the time we returned from lunch. The hotel receptionists were also very quick with providing us the buggy service when required, as well as helping with other matters such as requests for extra slippers and spa reservations. We were very satisfied with the efficiency of the buggy service, and the staff handling the buggy service were also very kind and patient. We also enjoyed the breakfast at Vista that came with our package. The selection and variety was not bad, and the food tasted great. We also felt that the duration of breakfast was longer as compared to other hotels, so it felt nice to eat at a leisurely pace. We also liked that Vista was open until late hours for dinner, since we had one night where we got back very late in the evening, so we were relieved we could still get dinner at the hotel. For the Jivana spa experience, unfortunately only 2 out of 6 of us were able to experience the spa due to booking limitations. My parents did enjoy the spa, and commented that it was a relaxing and comfortable experience. As for the check-in and check-out process, it does take a while. However, the receptionist (Luzy) for my check-in was kind to offer early check-in and connecting rooms for my family, so it felt worthwhile. The check-out process did feel a little slow, especially since we had a vehicle waiting for us to bring us to the airport. We didn't use many other amenities in the resort, apart from the pool. We mainly used the riverside pool in front of our rooms. It was a convenient walking distance from us, and wasn't extremely crowded. We also liked how beach towels were readily available for use. The hotel is not that accessible to many areas, but we liked that hotel shuttles to Patong Beach and Jungceylon Mall were provided. I do think there could be more shuttles provided; we felt that the intervals were too long at times, so we would just hire a cab to bring us to these locations sometimes. Overall, it was a satisfactory and pleasant experience. I would stay here again (to try other rooms) and would recommend it to others as well.
