This hotel is an ecological disaster. There are about 10 light switches in the room for 12 light bulbs. The sun beats down on the windows, and you have to keep the curtains closed all day. The superior room overlooked crumbling tennis courts. The chairs on the terrace were dirty. In a soup I ate at the restaurant, the price tag was still stuck to a piece of paper. This makes you wonder: are the vegetables even properly cleaned? As a guest, I was treated like a thief. While I was sick, I ordered plain rice from room service and had to pay the four-dollar bill immediately. It's a shame; I had fond memories of my first stay at the Novotel Phuket resort. That won't be the case this time.

The air conditioning on the first night was not operational, which presented a significant challenge, particularly with children. They experienced considerable discomfort due to the heat. Following two calls, an engineer arrived after approximately 30 minutes but only adjusted the fan blades, which did not resolve the issue. After another complaint and an additional 30-minute wait, the engineer finally removed and cleaned the filter, which then allowed the air conditioning to function correctly. This entire process occurred around midnight, despite our need to wake up at 5 AM for a 7 AM pickup. The room cleaning service was average. However, the moisturizer was not replenished at any point during our week-long stay.
