So...Accor has a great property hidden away in Phuket. Away from the glitz of Patong...the charm of Nai Harn......and the beauty of Kamala. Tucked away in the quiet leafy region of the beautiful Karon Beach is Avista Grande Phuket. Architecturally beautiful, spead across a charming hillside,facing the sea, the rooms are spacious, beautiful & just as charming as you see online. Being an Accor Gold member , an upgrade, discounts etc are a given...but what made our stay even more special was staff...service is normally great everywhere in Thailand, but the Avista Grande sets the bar high... Abhishek & Gauran at reservations, Kirill & Milk at check in...Fa at C'hard grill all the staff at Portofino...made service feel so warm and personal... especially since we were celebrating my husbands 60th. Breakfast at Portofino was exceptional. The sheer variety amd the top notch quality, made it one of the best buffet spreads we have ever had. Dinner at Portofino was superlative...the nuances of Thai cuisine at their most refi ed. Char'd , the grill restaurant, the over water tables, the fire show...the tableside service. I'm seriously surprised they don't have a mention on the Michelin guide. The quality of the meats...the delicacy of the marinations & the sauces. The perfection of the tableside cooking....drama & taste all top notch. A special shoutout to Chef Shishir Nair who presides over both these restaurants & whose eye for detail & knowledge of everything happening in every corner of his restaurants has no parallel. Apart from his friendly nature which helps put both patrons & staff at ease. This is now one of our favorite properties in Phuket & we look forward to returning soon !

We recently stayed here and were absolutely blown away by the luxury, comfort, attention to personalised details and top-tier service. The location is just a 100 metre walk from Karon beach. So your plans to visit beaches in early morning or during sunset don’t need special planning, they can be spontaneous. The check-in was smoothly done. A shoutout to “Sid” whose warmth, professionalism, and bright energy set the perfect tone for our entire vacation. Post check-in, he walked us to our room while perfectly explaining the resort facilities to explore during our stay. The hotel’s management was kind enough to upgrade our room stay to a beautiful “sea-facing” as well as “pool facing” family room. The room as well as bathroom was spacious, beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. The room bar has good offerings. Waking up to see morning sunrise and watching the golden hour over the ocean from the comfort of your room is magical. (Tip: It is absolutely worthwhile to stay at ocean facing room) The hotel’s pool deserves a line of praise. It’s a huge, stunning swimming pool with tropical style greenery that serves as the perfect oasis. Whether you want to swim laps or just lounge with a cocktail, it’s pure bliss. Do have a cocktail drink at Lido’s (Pool bar) to elevate your experience. Plenty of sun-beds around (contrary to what I read in some reviews) as well as water whirlpools tucked in nicely within the pool. No stay in a resort is complete unless you go around to experience their culinary offerings. The dining options here at this resort are a massive highlight point. Avista’s buffet breakfast spread at “Portosino” is huge and spectacular, but what truly elevated it was the “Chef Nair’s” personalised attention. Having the chef check in on us and customize dishes to our liking made us feel like royalty. It’s truly these small moments of warmth and hospitality that elevate your experience during the stay. “Gaurang” (Restaurant manager) also made sure that we got the table of our liking and checked upon us to make our breakfast comfortable. The breakfast spread has quality ingredients and there is also a fresh juice squeezer and honey comb that caught our eye. They remembered our food preferences next day as well. Truly fantastic food, spread, taste and service. I am a frequent traveller and have top tier elite memberships across hospitality groups like Marriott and Hilton. I can confirm you, that the huge breakfast spread at Accor’s Avista Grande is among the best you will get at most resorts. So many food stations that make you spoilt for choices plus the additional personalised attention from “Chef Shishir” and his team makes it a great start to your day. That’s not all on the culinary part, here is the big one. The main highlight of our stay was our dinner at pool side restaurant: Char’D Grill which served us some of the best flavors we had on the island during our long nine nights stay at Koh Samui and Phuket resorts. It’s a unique dine on water steakhouse and sea food grill restaurant. Char’d brings you great atmosphere, good vibes, great drinks and delicious food. It’s not just a dinner, it’s an experience. We loved the gastronomic drinks and the food presentation and how delightfully the food and drinks ingredients were explained to us by “Gaurang”. The description of house breads and cheese, drinks and food presentation already gave us a kickstart to feast on our dinner. “Chef Nair” made it a point to walk to us to make sure we had all we wanted to enjoy the dinner. By the way, I happen to read before coming that Char’D Grill was recognised with the Outstanding Dining Concept Award by Top25 Restaurants in Thailand! No wonder. A big shoutout to “Blaze” as well who was so sweet and patiently clicked few pictures and made a short video for us. Those pictures and video came out beautifully. I hope someday, the restaurant falls under the attentive eyes of Michelin inspectors for a potential recognition basis their quality of ingredients, flavours, presentation, consistency and Chef Nair’s talent. During our overall stay, every staff member who met us or had an eye contact with us made sure to smile at us or greet us. The customer service over here is exceptional and entire team is warm and attentive. Thank you to the lady (I am unable to recall name) to agree upon a late checkout for us. That gesture is appreciated. “Sid” was warm and helpful during our checkout as well. He checked upon how our stay went. The level of warm hospitality from every single staff member here is unmatched. This resort was such an amazing experience. The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout. Rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable. The pool is great and the Char’d restaurant is an amazing experience with phenomenal food. So happy with our stay here.

We had a fantastic stay at this resort in Phuket and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The resort itself was beautifully maintained, with well-stocked amenities and everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The on-site restaurants served delicious food with plenty of variety, and the breakfast selection was exceptional, offering something for every taste. One of the highlights was the pool area, which had plenty of space for lounging and relaxing without ever feeling crowded. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the tropical atmosphere. And who doesn't love a swim up bar? The location is another major advantage—close to shops, restaurants, and some of Phuket’s most popular beaches, making it easy to explore the area while still enjoying a peaceful resort setting. Overall, an excellent experience and we would happily stay here again.
