Safe budget option - you get what you pay for

I think this hotel deserves a 'good' rating - between average and really good. I spent 4 nights here in a large family group. The location is good - close to everything in Kata but tucked away off the main street. They hold a little street market in the evening in the driveway, which is a nice place to get a cold beer. The rooms are basic - typical Ibis rooms- next to no storage, but the beds were really comfortable and air con strong. Needs some TLC including a kick of paint. They could also do with a few more housekeeping staff. Our room wasn't cleaned til mid/late afternoon most days which was inconvenient. The communal areas also got pretty dirty by middle of day. Floor in lift was filthy. Another problem we had was with check in. We booked through Booking.com and had early check in (from 12pm) included with our rate. This was not subject to availability. Hotel was completely unaware of this and made us and every other guests wait until 2pm on the dot (not 13.59) to check in. This meant there was a huge queue at reception and then for the 2 tiny lifts. They did give us late check out as compensation- buut did not update cards so got locked out or or inform housekeeping who kept tapping their watches at us. (Have also taken this up with Booking.com as miscommunication could be their end). Breakfast buffet fine - reasonable value at 250 bht. Other food average and over priced Pool OK- more loungers needed Overall you get what you pay for.

Run Down Motel in Desperate Need of Management

The most poorly managed ibis in the world. It took NINE requests to get a very simple item dealt with, despite written confirmation (in response to a telephone call) that it will be ready when I checked in. Management refuses to acknowledge or apologise for their mistakes. The reception staff are rude, incompetent and extremely antagonistic to guests. The room attendants are overworked but manage to do a commendable job. The motel is run down and in desperate need of a refurbishment. Breakfast is extremely poor quality, and yet the price has increased significantly. Now that there is a night market at the entrance, it's very noisy and parking space is limited, even for motorbikes. On check-out, the system indicated an unpaid amount in correctly states on my invoice, but I was simply told "don't worry about it". Really, you have my credit card and expect me simply to let you charge it fraudulently. The is an embarassment to the Accor brand. It should be audited and the brand licence revoked. It's only kept afloat by the hoards of russian and chinese bus tourists that throng the place. Horrible motel. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I've stayed at this hotel twice now, and it remains a favorite for its excellent location near Kata Beach. The rooms are comfortable, and the on-site massage shop is a wonderful bonus. However, the real highlight of this hotel is the staff. I would especially like to commend Khun Tew from the F&B department. She greeted us warmly every time and even recognized us during our second stay. Her exceptional service and attention to detail left a lasting impression. Highly recommended!

samitdeb Families - TripAdvisor review

Extremely value for money, decent location and attentive staff. The property is a bit dated but we wont mind , the room rages are around sgd 45 , surrounded by all facities , beqtch is 10 mins walk but they have shuttle service . Power sockets may not work for some plugs but the staff is really helpful and provulided the adapter , extended the check out time - the front desk staff Pae was extremely atfentive. I am sorry that i am leaving the hotel in 2 days only - will be back soon

The Best Accor Hotel in Kata Beach

Mint S Business - TripAdvisor review

As an Accor Plus Gold Member, I am grateful to be able to stay here due to the hotel at Kata Beach is fullybook, and the staff recognises me as well. They provide me a welcome drink at the pool bar and free late check-out 18.00 (depends on member level & subject to room availibility). Now the traveller is a little bit since this period is a low season, nevertheless, the rates are cheaper but worth it. You should take this opportunity to open your experience in Kata Beach at here and special for pet lover this hotel is pet friendly.
