The hotel's location is fantastic — just a short walk from Kata Beach and right on the main street, giving easy access to all the nearby restaurants and shops. The rooms were spotless, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and provided excellent customer service. A special thanks to May at the reception desk, who assisted us during check-in. She explained everything clearly and professionally, making the process smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying here again.

The room were very clean and it looked out onto the pool. We booked for the all inclusive package, so were spoiled for choice with the foods. The food was really deliciously prepared. I would have preferred my drinks to be colder. The breakfast was amazing. we did spend time in the spa, which also was a very relaxing and professional experience.

We recently completed our stay and were thoroughly impressed by the team. The staff were exceptionally polite, professional, and always greeted us with a warm smile. We also greatly appreciated the pre-arrival communication asking about special occasions and dietary requirements—the welcoming bedroom setup with a birthday message and a complimentary slice of cake was a lovely, thoughtful touch. Breakfast was another highlight, featuring a great variety of options served late into the morning. However, several operational areas could be improved: Allergen Management: Despite sharing our dietary requirements prior to arrival, we had to remind staff of our allergies with every single food order. Guest allergies should be logged directly against the room number so that all dining outlets exercise seamless due diligence automatically. Half-Board Dining: The food quality was high, but the à la carte menu was too limited for a half-board stay, leaving us with few options over multiple evenings. We expected either a full evening buffet or at least a 3-course menu rather than 2 courses. On one occasion, a dish was served cold, though the team replaced it immediately without hesitation. Kids' Playroom & Excursions: Restricting the kids' playroom to just 1 hour per day felt overly rigid for resident families. Additionally, the hotel's excursion prices were significantly marked up compared to local high-street rates. Major Operational Issue: Our main disappointment was experiencing a intermittent power blackout one evening that lasted 4 to 5 hours during evening peak hours. While management cited an external public grid failure, a hotel chain of Novotel's standing should have robust backup generator contingencies. Such a prolonged power disruption in the evening was unacceptable. Despite these shortcomings, we appreciated the hospitality of the front-line staff and hope this constructive feedback helps management streamline their operations.

I stayed in Novotel Kata Avista with my wife and daughter and we have a very comfortable stay. We found the staff very courteous and rooms clean and maintained. There were a lot of kids activities in the hotel. Hotel is close to kata beach with the shuttle facility to the beach available.

Very old construction. Needs major renovation of the rooms . Restaurant is without AC. Very suffocating to have your meals there.

The humidity is too high with the walls dripping with water in and out of the rooms. The hotels have no contingency plans for this at all. There is construction outside the hotel you cannot hear yourselves at breakfast or by the pool. On one occasion I asked for an ice coffee and the response is "there is ice over there and take coffee from machine". Clear lack of service from the staff. Nicer hotels around the corner who are well equipped and very pleasant.

From the moment we made our reservation, we already felt so welcomed. Even before we checked in, the reservation and front office teams were wonderful with their communication and made us feel genuinely looked after. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendliest team, but a special mention has to go to May. She was absolutely the sweetest, so warm, attentive and thoughtful. She went above and beyond to make our stay special, arranging a little tent setup for our son Arthur, beautiful welcome and birthday bed decorations, and even an anniversary cake for us. These little touches made us feel so loved and truly set the tone for our holiday. ❤️ The shuttle service to Kata Beach is another big plus. It is so convenient, prompt and makes getting around incredibly easy, especially when travelling with a little one. For families, the kids’ facilities are fantastic. Little Ocean and Playorama quickly became Arthur’s favourite places! He absolutely loved them. Our only concern would be the hygiene and cleanliness of these areas. We noticed the same dirt and areas that needed cleaning remaining over several days, so we hope the hotel can give these spaces a little more attention, especially as they are heavily used by young children. A big applause also goes to the housekeeping team. Our room was cleaned beautifully every day and towels were changed daily. Their consistency and effort really made our stay comfortable and relaxing. We also had an issue with the air-conditioning and humidity in our room, which initially made the room feel quite damp. However, once we brought it up, May immediately stepped in and arranged a dehumidifier for us. She handled the situation with such care and efficiency, and it made a noticeable difference. This is exactly the kind of thoughtful service that makes a guest feel heard and taken care of. And last but certainly not least… the breakfast! What a spread! 🤍 We especially loved the wonderful variety of local Thai dishes, and the fact that the Thai selections changed daily. It made breakfast exciting every morning and gave us the chance to discover something different each day. A beautiful touch for guests wanting to experience local flavours. Overall, Novotel Phuket Kata Avista gave us such a lovely family holiday. There were a few areas that could be improved, particularly cleanliness around the children’s facilities and the room humidity, but what truly stood out was the warmth, attentiveness and genuine hospitality of the team, especially May. Thank you for making our family feel so welcomed, celebrated and cared for. We leave with beautiful memories, a very happy little boy, and lots of appreciation for the wonderful people who made our stay special.

I absolutely loved the food, hospitality, and overall atmosphere of this hotel. All the staff were well-mannered, professional, friendly, and always smiling. Their attitude and service truly made our stay enjoyable. However, I had three major concerns during my stay: 1. Location: The hotel is located on a hill, which makes going down and coming back quite difficult, especially for families. I would suggest making the location more clear in the hotel name or description, perhaps mentioning “Hill Resort & Spa,” so guests understand the location before booking. The shuttle service every 30 minutes is helpful, but it is not always convenient for families. 2. Humidity & Air Conditioning: There was significant humidity inside the rooms, and the air quality from the AC was not as comfortable as expected. This made it difficult to sleep properly, especially at night. 3. Mattress: The mattress was another major issue. The first room had a very comfortable mattress, but unfortunately, we could not sleep well because of the humidity and air quality. The second room had an uncomfortable mattress as well. Later, we moved to room 525, where the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. I complained about this three times, but unfortunately, the issue was not resolved. Eventually, we had to accept the situation and continue with poor sleep throughout our stay. Despite these issues, my overall experience was excellent in terms of hospitality, food, staff attitude, and service. I truly appreciate the entire team for their warm and professional hospitality.

We stayed here for six nights and the service was amazing. Staff were very helpful and food and drinks were excellent. The family room with a garden view was not great. The “garden” view was the fire escape. The room was very dated and not set up for four people. Perhaps we were unlucky but there also seems to be an issue with the air conditioning having to remain on at all times in the room to prevent water leaking and condensation on the walls. If I was to stay again I would want to be reassured the rooms have been renovated.

We booked all inclusive, I'd more describe it as Full Board plus drinks, but more than made up for by the attentive staff across all sections but in particular restaurant and bar staff. Not only with there service but the advice about when and where to visit certain areas. The food which went from Thai to western to Italian was all top class and not one night did the standards drop.

Personally, I found the issue with having low temperature air conditioning on all day and night to subdue the humidity difficult. However the hotel tried their best to accommodate including adding a dehumidifier to help counter humidity

The room was okay, other than we couldn't turn the aircon any warmer than 22°C due to condensation forming. Staff were helpful and friendly. The gymnasium is very disappointing. The buffet breakfast was just okay and not at a level we would have expected. Pool was nice.

The room was musty and the bedsheets smells. The floor is all wet from condensation. We booked for 7 nights and on the 4th night, the power was off and when our baby is sleeping for her night sleep, the generator played up wa son and off and the lights were on and off and the aircon. It was a distant with a 5mons old baby. We end up transferring to a different hotel at 12mn.
