I’m an Accor Platinum member and stayed at this Novotel after spending the previous week at the nearby MGallery (also part of the same group). Sadly, both properties are a disgrace to the Accor brand — but this Novotel somehow manages to be even worse. The service here ranges from indifferent to outright hostile. Staff barely acknowledge guests, and any attempt to raise a concern is met with disinterest or annoyance. As a Platinum member, I have never witnessed such outright hostility at any Accor property. It’s clear that this property does not care about the loyalty program or its members. The hotel itself is incredibly cramped. The grounds are tiny and overcrowded, with very little space to relax. For a price point similar to the Pullman just down the road — which offers expansive grounds and five pools — staying here feels like a joke. You’re packed in with the crowds and constantly jostling for space. Unlike the MGallery, where at least the food quality was decent, the food here is subpar at best. It feels like a budget hotel masquerading as an upscale resort, charging high-end prices without delivering anything close to that experience. This is one of the worst stays I’ve had at an Accor property, and I’ve stayed at hundreds around the world. There are far better options in Phuket that respect guests, deliver better value, and don’t treat elite members like an inconvenience. Avoid this place at all costs.

As a frequent traveler I have reviewed many places around the globe & when I chose this property I was bit unsure about it because of its recent negative views. I was in conversation with reservations desk through emails & they assured me for my good stay. Rooms are spacious & outside view from room was fantastic from balcony. We stayed in deluxe room 420 & 421 on 4th floor pool facing & partial sea view. This property is paradise for kids as they have so many options for fun like movie time, vr gaming, playstation, cooking classes, pool station, live activities & many more. Swimming pool is good & also have pool bar, kids pool is separate area. Couples spa & massage is another good things available inside premises. Being Indian vegetarian me & my family had tempting meals at en vogue restaurant & special appreciation for Chef Leston Dsouza for taking care of our vegetarian options. I Would like to appreciate other hotel staff Ms. Ingy & Ms. Nadear for their welcoming approach towards hotel guests. It was nice conversation with Mr. Massimo ( GM ) & I appreciate how he initiated the conversation by asking “Is there something he can do for making our stay more comfortable “ I told him about my travel experience from around the world. This place is located uphill & little walk would be required but they have shuttle service available. We didn’t have any problems because we had car with us. Note to property - As I checked in late night & staff at that time was not that welcoming, there was only 1 person, no security guard or helper. I had to pull my luggage myself from parking to hotel lobby, when complaint about same Mr. Alex gave very unwelcoming response by saying its late now. I believe Novotel Avista Resort is a 5star property & provide certain services which are 24/7. Also I had to ask twice for welcome drink as it was bit hot & when drinks were I found it unhygienic & unprofessional way to serve in a 5 star resort. I hope to stay again with Novotel Avista.

The hotel is in a great location. We as a family with a baby enjoyed the room, its size and balcony. The breakfast was good and we loved it. The major issue we found there was staff looked like not very much trained compared to all other novotels we experienced. 1. The staff struggled in speaking English specially over the phone when calling room service or reception 2. The restaurant staff was really not very well trained. They didn't let us use our accor plus 50% discount. That was really weird as we have used it in all Accor hotels within last few years including Novotel patong resort, pullman Karon, Sofitel Bali, and within Australia. We spoke with the manager named Tina and she said we cannot use it. !!!! She wasn't helpful on this case and we decided not to dine in hotel even though we usually dine inside hotels in our travels but because of this bad experience, we decided to go outside restaurant for all meals. Interesting that other Accor hotels in phuket happily offered us 50% dining discount as Accor member but our own hotel refused unfortunately. Tina wasn't helpful on this request at all. 3. The splash area was closed which was very unpleasant for us as our kids wanted to enjoy it. When I booked hotel directly through hotel reservation I told them our kids are very interested in that anf they didn't inform us that it will be closed during our stay. There was no compensation for that as well which was again coming from lack of training within the team. 4. No help with luggages taking out from room at check out even though we called them 40 mins before check out 5. One of the lifts wasn't working which resulted in we had to go to a steep roadway everytime we came back to hotel to get to the back building where our room was located. It was difficult with a pram

Stayed at the Novotel Kata Avista for 12 days in an excellently appointed pool view suite. The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff at the resort, from the GM all through to bar staff, dining room attendants and housekeeping were excellent, friendly, helpful and attentive. We couldn't have asked for better service from them. The resort, perched on top of a hill had a well maintained pool and gardens, a pool bar and a new Canopy Bar. A half hourly shuttle bus ferried guests up and down the hill for those who found the trek too daunting. The village of Kata was no more than a ten minute walk with all the facilities expected, shops, bars, restaurant and markets. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will certainly return. A big shoutout to several staff members that stood out in service delivery, notably Alex at the front desk who checked us in, Yind the housekeeper who kept our suite in pristine condition daily. Chander and Guitar in the main dining room, Massimo the GM who was proactive and reactive in resolving a small issue we experienced and, the shining lights and deserving of a special mention First and Apple in the En Vogue restaurant who provided outstanding service and wonderful smiles throughout our stay at the Novotel. Nothing was too much trouble or effort for these two wonderful employees.
