Le Grand Hotel is perfectly located for a tour of Bayonne near busy streets to shop and restaurants on a tree lined street. As in all European hotels, it was in an old building that the hotel owner brought and kept its unique style. The walls are fairly thin so one might hear the plumbing from other rooms but that's a minor inconvenience. The staff, both at the front desk and housekeeping were friendly and more than helpful.
