Used this Hotel some years ago, convenient stop from Caen and dog friendly. Friendly helpful check in. Unfortunately no longer a restaurant for evening meal, just a small selection of pizzas, which is fine if you like pizza! Fine for us. Good selection at breakfast buffet. Rooms clean and comfortable.

All firedoors were fixed open, and could not be closed.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. Concerning fire doors, its operation is linked to the alarm system of the building in question. You should know that normally the PCF is held by an electromagnet connected to the system and keeping it in the open position. As soon as the fire alarm goes off, this magnet releases the door. Too expensive, maybe due to the high season and the location. Bathroom floor was not clean. The cleaning staff might have forgotton to clean the floor as the rest was clean. Hotel needs a renovation specially since the rooms are so expensive.
