On arriving at the Mercure, the staff were pleasant, professional and friendly. The only downside we had was the bed, the mattress was hard and woke up every morning with my left side aching badly. Overall the room was wonderful the staff were fantastic and the food in the restaurant was amazing.

Seems short staffed for such a busy weekend. This leads to delays at check in and bar service etc. Privilege and Deluxe rooms had no water in them. Room was recently refreshed but felt unfurnished and unfinished, no fridge, no beside lights. Bedside tables too small for the room, only one stand for suitcase. 2 tea bags and 3 milks left out. Hot water failed twice. Room was not refreshed during stay unless you request it. At this price point we would expect a better experience.

Never stayed at mercure hotel previously. Arrived to find no lift and as i am unable to manage stairs reception quickly sorted to a ground floor accessable room. Very good clean room. Had a guest for evening meal in main restaurant. The meal was very good all served at same time by the loverly Thao whos prompt polite and apleasure to chat with. Great to have the restaurant manager also check on us. Will definitely stay again. Thank you all

I enjoyed the stay as it's very convenient for me heading into Brandshatch the next day. This is my second stay, and my only real criticism is that coffee machine at breakfast. I'd recommend asking someone who likes coffee to try a cup from it, it's not nice... :/ It's definitely a decent standard and I like that the wife may be able to use that spa on a future visit while I wobble round the track :D
