My mother and I recently stayed at Mercure Madrid Centro and overall we had a very pleasant experience. We loved the neighbourhood and the location of the hotel, which is excellent for exploring Madrid. The hotel team was extremely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. A special mention goes to the young lady who checked us in; she was very kind, professional, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was good and offered a nice selection of products. The only aspect that we did not enjoy was the noise level in the rooms. Unfortunately, you can hear a lot of sounds from both the corridor and neighbouring rooms. In the mornings, the housekeeping staff made quite a lot of noise while cleaning the rooms, which was disturbing. I was traveling with my 80-year-old mother, and on two occasions she woke up startled because of the noise. We were also able to hear other guests quite clearly. Apart from this issue, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the kindness and professionalism of the hotel staff.
