Hotel is in high rise block near the station. Very good position but only one lift working the whole time we were there. Also told not to use the stairs because certain doors wouldn't open. So chaos at peak times - packed lifts stopping at every floor. Heating in the room was weird - control didn't match the instructions and appeared to do literally nothing. Room remained exactly the same temp the entire time regardless of what the controls said. Complained to reception, they left 2 extra blankets in the room. Creative response but kind of missing the point - I'm not going to sit with a blanket round me all the time I'm in the room. Room was strangely sparse - eg nowhere to hang a towel, bedside 'blocks' but no drawers. It felt like every non-essential feature had been costed out.
