Great location but could do with a tidy up in places

Really good location for exploring Nancy and car park adjacent which seems pretty secure. The main railway station is also adjacent. All the staff were excellent and professional and resolved a minor problem immediately. We had one of the “Privilege” rooms on the 7th floor which in itself was fine and comfortable. What would have been a 5 star review was dropped to 4 due to some areas such as stained carpets and damaged paintwork, something that should not be just left. Breakfast okay but I’ve had better in other Mercure hotels. I’m not sure how long one of the lifts has been out of action but I suspect it’s not something new? Breakfast okay but I’ve had better in other Mercure hotels.

This hotel is so close to everything. Just outside the old city and across from the railway station. Friendly staff and clean rooms.
