Quite good at first, but very disruptive towards the end with morning noises that completely prevented sleep, poor value for money.

We arrived at 1:00 PM to find reception closed for lunch until 2:30 PM. When we returned after 6:00 PM, it had already closed for the day. No one answered our calls. We only managed to access our room thanks to a fellow guest who pointed us to the key envelope — we had missed the email instructions entirely. Our ground-floor room (009) had a strong, unpleasant odour upon entry, likely from the drainage system. With no staff available, we had no option to request a room change. The floor was also visibly buckling in places. We understand that budget properties require leaner staffing, but a reception that closes at 6:00 PM leaves guests with no recourse when problems arise. This is something we would expect from a self-service Airbnb, not an Adagio property. We hope the team will take this feedback seriously.

We have stayed in this hotel numerous times over the past 5 years. The hotel is conveniently located, has good parking facilities and a practical kitchenette. During the last stay we were unpleasantly surprised with the renewed mattresses on the beds: rock solid. We do like a firm mattress, but these are way too solid. We noticed other guests commenting on the mattresses as well, so it was not just us. For this reason we choose a different hotel for another stay in Nancy.

Bonjour Madame G., Merci pour votre retour et pour votre compliment concernant notre personnel, qui sera ravi de le lire. Concernant le parking, notre parking souterrain est effectivement proposé à 17€ par nuit. Il s’agit d’un nombre de places très limité (10 places), sécurisées et situées directement sous l’hôtel. Pour offrir une alternative, un parking public se trouve également à seulement 50 mètres de la réception, gratuit la nuit et facturé 5€ en journée. Room more than adequate for one night; sofa bed turned into twin beds which was essential; we had twin beds in main bedroom which were very narrow (70cm?); room was quiet; parking across road very easy (could not work out how to use hotel's own parking (if indeed it is available)) and free after 6.30; easy walk up to Place Stanislas.

What a disappointment. We booked a room for two adults and a two year old. We arrived and the room was so tiny, it was hard to accommodate the three of us. The bathroom smelled really bad (moldy/stuffy), and the bed for our son was not here. We had to ask and waited until 9pm to have one. The first one was broken so they fetch a second one. The second was fine but we were not provided any blanket. No option to have a new one as the staff desk was gone. Our son had to sleep in our bed. Never again !!

Nous ne fournissons jamais de couverture pour des raisons de sécurité. Enfin, concernant la superficie de votre appartement, elle correspondait bien à ce que vous aviez réservé. We have always loved aparthotels and this was a good example of a simpler one. The bed was comfortable and the room was very good with everything we needed. We were, however, disappointed that the air-conditioning cannot be reduced below 24 degrees as a matter of policy in the hotel; 24 is a very hot sleeping temperature for Scots and it was fairly pointless even having it on as we just sweated and tossed and turned all night. Also the directions for arriving by car could be greatly improved if there was an explanation that you need to go to Reception to gain access as there is no intercom and that the car park is under the building (as opposed to what looked like the car park behind the building). Also clarity over the pricing would be good as the website implies it is free when it was far from free.

Moreover, cooling indoor spaces excessively in contrast to outdoor temperatures is also medically discouraged, as such sharp contrasts can negatively affect the body. We genuinely hope for your understanding and are always happy to provide tips for staying cool during the hottest parts of the day. Your comfort is important to us, and we thank you for considering the broader environmental impact of your stay. Regarding parking, if you read the description of the establishment carefully, you will notice that we do not mention a private car park on our website, but rather a public one (Sainte-Catherine), which is free from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. Warm regards, Anaïs
