Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautifully renovated and quiet room. Complimentary water and juices were a nice touch. Excellent breakfast. Great location. Unfortunately, the room temperature was difficult to understand and control leading to some uncomfortable sleep.

Overall, I had a great stay at this hotel. The location was excellent, the interiors were modern and everything was clean. The best part of the stay was definitely the staff. Everyone was friendly, kind and helpful. There were a few small issues: the air conditioning in the room was not cooling properly (especially noticeable during the heatwave), the bathroom door handle was broken and the water bottle refill system was never explained to me (it's a do it yourself situation). That said, other than the aircon, these were minor issues overall. One tip for future guests: not all rooms have great views, so it may be worth booking a superior room or confirming the view in advance. I would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay in Paris and we were generally very happy with our stay in Mercure Paris Butte Montmartre Basilique. However, there were a few minor things which we felt we wanted to bring to your attention. 1. The room was comfortable and clean. However, there were a few odd things. (1) There were no hooks or other places to hang anything, for example, outdoor coats, which due to the rain, were inevitably wet, other than the very small hanging wardrobe with hangers, which we used for our clean clothes. A suggestion would be a simple hook on the rear of the door. (2) There was no towel rail or any other place to hang towels. This means that towels, once used, remained wet. As a consequence, we had to ask for fresh towels, something we wouldn't normally do on a short stay. (3) The air conditioning system didn't seem to work. We asked for someone to look at it, which they did, but it still seemed not to work. Fortunately, the temperature in Paris was cool so we slept with the window open, but this would be intolerable in the summer. (4) For some reason, we were put into what seemed to be an 'Accessible' room, suitable for disabled guests. We didn't mention this to the staff, but as the hotel was clearly not full, it seemed odd to put us into this room, when others not specially fitted for accessibility would be better suited for us. 2. The arrangement in the lobby area is unusual. As there is only a very small reception desk, this meant that the hotel's reception team was forced to work on the table in the lobby. It didn't cause us any problems, but there always seemed to be at least two or sometimes three hotel employees sitting in the public lobby areas. As there seemed to be other non-public areas away from the lobby areas, why not have one receptionist on duty with the remainder working elsewhere?

Very nice renovation in a very good location at the feet of Montmartre and close to metro stations for leisure/visits or business activities. BUT : - They haven't tested the sound in rooms. As a Diamond I was upgrated to the highest level Suite : thanks for that. The Suite has an astonishing view on the Eiffel Tower and is overlooking Paris from roofs. The issue is that I couldn't sleep at all. The room is located right to the elevator machineries and cables and engines are making noise which is resonating. I didn't ask to change cuase it was late when I arrived and I already set up in the room. - Breakfast : at 7.15 : only half of the ingredients/dishes were avaialable (only a peace of wite bread available, no towel to protect the bread from hands cut, eggs boilers not filled enough to fully cook the eggs, etc, etc). Needed to ask every single thing to the 2 people at the front desk who seemed not to be pro-activ at all - I can't imagine what the service was at 6.30.
