Most importantly, referring to our receptionist by her skin colour is entirely unnecessary and inappropriate. Her ethnicity has no relevance whatsoever to the service provided. Every member of our team deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their background or appearance. Constructive criticism is always welcome, but discriminatory or disrespectful language is not acceptable in our hotel. We therefore cannot accept the manner in which this feedback has been expressed. Our official check in time starts at 4:00 pm. As you arrived at approximately 2:15 pm, the €50 mentioned was the charge for guaranteed early access to the room. We understand that this may have been disappointing, but our team must apply the same hotel policy fairly to all guests. We are sorry that the breakfast selection and television channels did not fully meet your expectations. Each room is prepared with the standard number of towels and pillows according to its occupancy. However, additional towels or pillows are always available upon request from our reception team, which is available 24 hours a day. Our hotel is approximately a 15 minute walk from the centre of Wavre. Although the windows provide good sound insulation when closed, we understand that some motorway noise may be heard when they are open. We are genuinely sorry to read that your stay did not fully meet your expectations, particularly regarding the cleanliness of the carpet/floor in your room. Cleanliness is a priority for our team, and this is certainly not the standard we aim to provide. We would, however, like to know whether you contacted our 24/7 reception team during your stay. Had we been informed, we would have immediately checked the room and, depending on availability, offered you another room rather than allowing you to remain in accommodation you were unhappy with. Regarding the breakfast, we were particularly surprised by your comment about the bacon and potatoes being cold. Our hot breakfast items are maintained in professional heated equipment at approximately 65°C, in accordance with our operating procedures. We will nevertheless verify this point with our breakfast team. As for the refurbishment, we fully respect that the style or condition of certain areas may not correspond to every guest's expectations, and we continuously evaluate where improvements and investments are needed. We never wish to dismiss a guest's experience. At the same time, we strongly encourage our guests to speak with us while they are at the hotel whenever something is not right. Our team is available around the clock, and in many cases a problem that later becomes a disappointing review can be resolved within minutes. Thank you again for your comments.
