I thought I rebooked a stay at the Kessel Lo Ibis, which is on the outskirts of Leuven. Previously only one Ibis was labeled Centre Ville. I booked at this one which is FAR outside of Leuven, but although I assumed they were a chain and would make some accomodation they said they were all independent and had NOTHING to do with each other. Therefore, I paid for my stay twice. I will completely avoid using them in the future, I think it is the most safe thing to do

From my review on Booking: The room was very clean and quiet. Location was a good fit for my needs: close to my office (from where I came on Friday and to which I had to back on Monday), one day in Leuven, one day away from Leuven via the highway the hotel is located on). Easy parking. The large gas station shop in the same building is open 24/7. Breakfast quality was ok, but choice was quite limited. Their breakfast voucher idea is stupid: they should just let the attendant know who / which room has booked breakfast, just as about any other hotel I ever visited does. Not enough power sockets in the room. Worst was the unpredictable shower. One day, the maximum temperature it would deliver can only be described as "not cold, but at best 'optimistically speaking lukewarm' or so", while the next day the same setting of the fittings produced very hot water. ============= In addition: Breakfast is vastly overpriced for what is offered. Even more when considering that there's a large 24/7 convenience store in the same building.

You should be embarrassed by the offering at breakfast - what little was on offer was all low quality and poorly presented.

The overall experience was good. One suggestion for improvement would be to provide body wash in the shower area, so that both shampoo and body wash are conveniently available while showering.

Booking in advance was easy. It is located close to the motorway and there is an easy on-ramp towards Brussels directly from the hotel; the route to the hotel takes a bit longer via a back road. However, there was no noise from the motorway. A good welcome at the reception, which is open 24 hours a day, and a very well-prepared breakfast. Starbucks, Burger King, and a gas station are located 50 meters from the hotel entrance. Additionally, EV chargers are available. The room was clean and had a nice shower with a toilet and sink. A tip, however, is to bring your own extension cord with a power strip, as there are only two sockets in the hotel room.

Friendly staff, clean room, pleasant location for a walk in the woods and to the castle and its park (30 mins). On the downside, only Burger King for an evening meal, but the shop at the services is well stocked. The bedroom walls were soundproof - but not the doors - beware. Excellent buffet breakfast, best Ibis one I’ve had.
