I have never had such a crappy hotel for 135 euros. Clean room but very small, no view and we could hear everything from our nextdoor neighbours. Free earplugs could be a nice extra treat. Breakfast was a disappointment. Stale and hard bread. Not a very fresh looking fruitsalad. staff was very friendly though.

Very good experience overall. To increase the rating from an '8' the following are my recommendations: 1. Noise disturbance experienced in my room from the scraping of furniture e.g. chairs in the other guest rooms. Could ibis add soft 'shoes' to the moveable furniture to reduce this noise? 2. Water refill station for guests to replenish their water bottles. 3. Put a warning sign on the door from the ground floor stairwell into the lobby. One morning, I came through that door and crashed into another guest exiting from the elevator. They are right beside each other. It was like a rugby tackle! We laughed it off, but I was winded afterwards :-)

Overall, our stay was pleasant. It started with an unexpected issue: the first room we were given had not been cleaned. However, the staff were very friendly and reacted quickly, and we were immediately offered another room, which was mostly clean. That said, housekeeping seems to be a challenge. The service staff are kind and helpful, but there appears to be a lack of consistency and attention to detail in the cleaning process. At times the room felt dusty, and we even noticed items left behind from a previous guest. This is something the hotel should definitely review. Breakfast had the basic options, but there was a clear lack of fresh vegetables—no salads or fresh variety. There were cucumbers and chilled tomatoes, but that didn’t really cover the need for fresh vegetables in the morning. The reception team was very supportive and friendly throughout our stay. Overall, this hotel can work well for a short business trip and a few nights’ sleep, but it’s important to note that the rooms are extremely small.

A short 3 day trip to Leuven and the Ibis was an obvious choice as it's based right in the centre and close to restaurants and bars. The room was OK but the bathroom was a little small tbh.
