The check-in was good. But after that, we found a room with a bad smell; the pillows were smelling bad as well. The next morning, they decided to shut off the water in the building for maintenance without letting the guests know. We got a bad smell and dark water for hours after the water came back at lunchtime. Maybe the hotel administrators do that in their house when they have visitors, but I was never, ever, in my entire life, present such a lack of sensibility. Especially when they tried to tell me that it was normal. By far, this is the worst ACCOR hotel I've ever booked and stayed at. Never again.

Regarding the water interruption, we understand your frustration, particularly as you were not informed in advance. The interruption was due to an unexpected maintenance work in the building, suddenly, there was a piece of the hot water deposits broken that we had to repair it. However, we acknowledge that our communication regarding this situation should have been much better. We also regret the inconvenience caused by the smell and discoloration of the water when the service was restored. While these issues can occasionally occur following maintenance work, we fully understand that this is not an acceptable experience for a guest. We are particularly sorry to hear that you consider this your worst experience in an Accor hotel. This is certainly not the impression we want our guests to leave with, and we regret that we were unable to meet your expectations on this occasion. Hotel well located. Staffs leaves no stone unturned to make your stay comfortable. Thanks to Marina , Brian . My room had a pretty good view. Only issue I had was the shower pressure. The pressure of the shower towards the cold water was very low.

Second time staying at this hotel. It’s clean and very comfortable. room size is good - comparable and slightly better to 2 other more expensive hotels I’ve stayed although they were a little more central. Still it’s only à 10 minute walk to La Pedrera and the Passeig de Garcia. Breakfast is basic but adequate. I can recommend Orgio bakery which a 7 mins walk away. Water always available downstairs for refilling bottles. Room was cool enough with the air conditioner (August). Good storage in the bathroom, less so I the bedroom if there are 2 of you - hanging rack with shelf below. Chick in and check out smooth. Would I stay here again. Yes.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but unfortunately the air conditioning was a significant issue. The air conditioning worked perfectly well in one of our rooms, but did not work in the other. This made a noticeable difference to the comfort of the second room, particularly when trying to relax and sleep. It was frustrating to have two rooms but only one with functioning air conditioning.

The room was quite hot as the AC was broken. I was informed few hours before I arrived Barcelona, and I had no clue where to stay for the night, so I decided to stay here. Although the staff were so helpful and provided me with more fans, I still found the room hot. I understand that this problem was unusual, but I still had a poorer stay than on other stays in Barcelona and other cities. I have sent an email requesting a refund (as advised), but I haven't heard anything from the hotel yet.

The hotel is compact and centrally located, with most major attractions within a comfortable 20–30 minute walk. The breakfast was very good and satisfying. Every morning there was a wide selection including boiled eggs, fresh croissants and bread, pastries, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cold meats, cheese, coffee, and juices. The selection varied slightly each day, which kept it interesting. Unfortunately, I accidentally booked an interior room. The hotel was fully booked, so I couldn’t change it at first. I strongly recommend reading the room descriptions carefully and avoiding the interior rooms. The layout made the room feel much smaller because of a corridor that took up valuable space without adding any functionality. It was dark, felt like a shoebox, and the bedside table was so small that it could barely hold a glass of water. Another issue was a large group of school children staying at the hotel. They were very loud, shouting and running through the corridors and between rooms. I couldn’t sleep properly for two nights. Soundproofing is also a weakness of the hotel, as you can hear almost everything happening in the corridor and, at times, in neighbouring rooms. For the last two nights of my stay, I was moved to a standard room. The difference was significant. The brighter room, more practical layout without the corridor, larger table, and much more effective air conditioning made it feel considerably more spacious and comfortable. Had I experienced this room from the beginning, I would have rated the hotel five stars. Instead, my stay went from disappointing to very enjoyable. I highly recommend booking a standard room. It costs only a little more, but the experience is far better and offers much better value for money. No recognition of Accor status.

First of all, we are so glad to know that you have enjoyed our central location, near the main sightseeing of the city and, the excellent buffet breakfast that we offer, with a good variety and choice. We are so sorry if you didn't feel comfortable in the room that you booked. The hotel is built in an historic building of the Eixample neighborhood and they have these features, rooms facing to the inside courtyard between buildings without natural light and, it is announced on the website. Anyway, we suggest you to contact us in case of doubts and we will assist you. It is true that we have tried to our best to make an upgrade and accommodate you in an exterior room as you are a very loyal guest of Accor but, the hotel was fully booked for many days because we are in high season. We are really glad to know that the end of the stay was much comfortable and thank you for your comments. It has been a big pleasure to welcome you and sorry again for all the inconveniences.
