We are so sad to hear that, due a confusion, you were in another Ibis and consequently, it was very uncomfortable for you due the hard rain at the city. We can advise you to contact us in case of any doubts because it is true that Accor has many different hotels in Barcelona and sometimes, the names are quite similar. Regarding the air conditioning of the floor where you stayed, we can inform you that the air conditioning unit of this floor had a technical issue due the hard rain at the city and, the A/C of your room worked but it was weaker. Our technicians found a piece that it needed to be replaced due this unexpected broken down. We are so sorry to hear that you felt uncomfortable in your room but if you had reported to our staff, they would be able to change you to another room next day because the day that you arrived, we were fully booked. We also pay attention of your reviews regarding the breakfast and we will improve the service, providing a large range of products, such as scramble eggs and different kind of cheeses and fruits. 1) Confusion in the name with other Ibis in Barcelona. We went to the wrong Ibis. 2) Air conditioning not working on all second floor. So, why we get this room? Please note that we were completely wet after the torrential rain on October 3, and we could not quickly dry our luggages without air conditioning. 3) clogged sink. 4) For the breakfast, there were not scramble eggs, no good cheese , not enough fruit.

Easy to check in and out. Tidy and clean. Although around 4-5am one morning a large group of revellers hung out across the lane waking us screaming and singing to a boom box. I was hopeful the staff would somehow get them moved on. If they did, it was near on a couple of hours before they left. Unsure if this is a regular haunt for this group. Breakfast was top notch. Would recommend.

The two male staff members at the reception were very kind, polite, and helpful. Unfortunately, our experience with the restaurant staff was completely different. The attitude and overall work performance of the restaurant staff were very disappointing. Tables were left dirty even when the restaurant was almost empty, and the general level of cleanliness and professionalism was poor. We even found a moldy tomato among the food, and when this was noticed, one of the staff members appeared to laugh about the situation rather than take it seriously. The appearance and presentation of some restaurant staff also did not seem appropriate for a professional hotel environment. In addition, the water pressure in the room was extremely poor, which made showering uncomfortable. Overall, the reception staff left a very positive impression, but unfortunately the restaurant service, cleanliness, food quality, and some aspects of the room significantly affected our experience.

In reference to the foul odor from the mattress & decorative pillow. The cleaning lady replaced the comforter, bedding & pillow. However the stench remained due to the mattress & decorative pillow. Our friends who stayed in other rooms & the same nights all commented all the smell of the room & bedding. 4 pillows need to be furnished instead of 2 to sleep on. The breakfast was fine. The staff at the front desk was very helpful & friendly. Time to replace mattresses, decorative pillow & sleeping pillows.

Lots of positive things about this hotel - the location was fantastic, near metro and tram stops, about a 15 min walk to the Sagrada Familia, lots of great food options nearby. The room was spotless and very comfortable. My only issue was that there was no air conditioning for the first 2 of my 3 nights - I knew about the first night as they messaged me that morning (but it was too late to make alternative arrangements). The hotel was full booked so they gave me a fan for that night and said they would move me to a different floor the next day (which they did), but the air conditioning also didn't work there. They resolved it for my third and final night. It was 28 degrees in the room so I didn't get a lot of sleep for the first two nights, I know these things happen and it was certainly not the fault of the staff, but it did impact my overall stay.

the hotel is well located, close to any public transport, good breakfast, polite and friendly staff, only topics to improve is the bathroom water system smell, elevator digital selector is not that easy to choose floors
