First complaint is how stuffy and hot our room was even though the air conditioner showed to be on. When we asked about the issue, we were simply told, “you know it’s wintertime” and told to open our window. Yes, but temperatures were unseasonably warm outside, which didn’t help much during the day. I asked about a fan, and was finally given one that we had to prop up next to the closet area to make it stand upright. Secondly, the breakfast area left a lot to be desired as there was a very small area to move through and there were no sneeze guards over the food. I actually caught one guest coughing over all the food, and another picking up multiple pastries with his hands and dropping them back. Fortunately, I had already gotten my food before these two came in. Other than these two issues, the hotel was very comfortable. The rooms were minimalist, which is fine with us; the location was extremely walkable, with multiple restaurants within a few blocks. The hotel restaurant’s food was amazing, with equally amazing staff, Sol and Carlos.

Overall experience ok. Hotel main areas are pleasant. The room was very basic and the pillows were lumpy and very uncomfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location of hotel was near a metro but didn’t feel particularly nice area or safe to walk around in the evening.

I do not know if it was on purpose, but I was very happy that the personnel put us on a quiet floor, away from touristbus groups and young people ready to party in bcn, so thanks for that. The room is what you expect from an Ibis, basic, practical and most importantly; clean. Furthermore the daily cleaning services were good.
