My wife and I had arranged a 4 night stay for our first visit to Barcelona and we couldnt have chosen a better hotel for our budget. From a helpful receptionist who was welcoming and efficient to the housekeeping team who looked after our room everyone was polite and pleasant. Our room had a balcony, as booked and the view of Park Gueill over the rooftops was simply exquisite and the bed was very comfortable,. The breakfast was of a standard that I would expect from a Mercure hotel with a wide choice of food and excellent coffee. Should we return to Barcelona then we will certainly stay here again.

We had two rooms at the Mercure Barcelona Condor. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and varied. The rooms are neat but rather basic, and you can hear noise from other rooms. Otherwise, it’s a great hotel from which to explore Barcelona; the metro station is just round the corner. The area around the hotel is quiet.

I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the way Mercure Barcelona Condor handled my situation. The hotel rejected every solution I proposed: it refused to change the guest's name, which meant I could not transfer the booking to someone else; it refused to change the booking dates; and it refused to offer even a partial refund. In short, the hotel was unwilling to provide any form of assistance or flexibility whatsoever. Due to an unexpected health issue, I was unable to travel to Barcelona as planned. This was an unfortunate circumstance beyond my expectations, and I had genuinely looked forward to my stay. I contacted the hotel many days before the scheduled check-in date, explained my situation, and tried to find a reasonable solution well in advance. I did not insist on receiving a full refund. Instead, I offered several alternatives, including changing the guest's name so that someone else could use the room, modifying the dates, or receiving a partial refund. These were genuine attempts to minimize the loss for both sides. However, the hotel rejected every single request without offering any alternative or practical assistance. What makes this even more disappointing is that I contacted the hotel well ahead of the check-in date, leaving time for the room to be offered to other guests. If the room had been resold, the hotel could have avoided losing revenue from an otherwise unused room. Nevertheless, the hotel showed no willingness to consider this possibility or make even a small gesture of goodwill. I understand that my reservation was non-refundable, and I recognize that hotels have their own booking policies. However, I believe that reasonable customer service should involve some consideration of exceptional circumstances, especially when a guest provides advance notice and actively tries to find a mutually acceptable solution. Simply rejecting every request without any effort to help is deeply disappointing and, in my view, unreasonable. My dissatisfaction goes beyond the financial loss. What has truly disappointed me is the hotel's complete lack of understanding, flexibility, and willingness to assist a guest facing an unexpected health issue. I had expected a more considerate and professional response from a hotel of this standard, but my experience has been entirely different. This experience has seriously damaged my impression of Mercure Barcelona Condor. I sincerely hope the hotel management will review how this situation was handled and reflect on whether refusing every possible solution, without offering any meaningful assistance, represents the standard of hospitality the hotel wishes to uphold. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to others.

We had booked suite, which was having 2 rooms, apt for 3 people family trip. The front office staff were very helpful in guiding us locate the tourist places , shopping areas we had to cover and also for booking cabs, etc. Though the hotel was compact with a small lobby and only breakfast service, and not swanky as other 4 star hotels we stayed in other places, it covered all the basic needs. The breakfast was good and staff there were cheerful and cooperative. Gym was very basic, but had a good view from the top floor. In short, it was good stay.
